So how do they work...
I took my car to alstate for them to inspect the damage. They looked at it, took pics, and gave me a price of $767.64
Said to take it wherever

So , ive never been in an accident since i lived with my mom and shit.

What happens if the auto body shop (i plan on dropping it off in the morning) charges me more.
Does the insurance cover the additional cost? or what?

Also they gave me a piece of paper. Am i suposed to give it to the body shop?

I kind of want to because i think that would give them a price that i am expecting,
But i also think that it might cost less then that, and they might just put the cost up to 767 even if it cost less.
What do i do?

Go get at least two more estimates. Decide on where you want to take your car. You don't have to take the cheapest, or even have to settle on what your insurance co. said what they would pay, or give you. Take it where you want. If the cost of repairs is higher than the ins. quote, the body shop will send your ins. co. the paperwork, and you won't have to worry about anything.
When my car was broken into, State Farm's claims adjuster said the damage was worth about $700. I took the car where I wanted, and the amount to fix the car the right way with new parts was $1500. I didn't have to pay anything but the $50 deductible.
