I'm reading up on bypassing the J-tube. Everyone keeps saying running another hose to the hard line, but instead couldn't you simply get a brass 2Xmale adapter from lowes and connect the two hoses already connected to the j-tube? Isn't that other hose connected to the hard line already?

Yes you can. The reason why people don't? Its another source for leaks. A bad leak - RIGHT NEXT TO THE STARTER, AND BELOW THE ALT.

Yikes!

Well, actually, it eliminated two more place for possible leaks, i took the return line from the Aero FPR (steel braided) and hooked it directly to the original return hose. I zip tied the line just above the J-tube on the Intake plenum stay. I did this b/c of location of FPR and length of braid that came w/the kit seen here:

That alternator support bracket really destroys my engine bay's image :( ....one day

Easy fix.
No drill needed.

Get an AFPR. It has a return line plumbed off the "bottem" of the AFPR.
Hook that up to the stock hard line/return line on the left frame rail.

Remove your stock return lines. Leave the J-tube in place, but not hooked up to anything. (That cover it's attached to? It's the same size as a GM fuel pump cover... so you could replace it pretty easy, just search Summit, and buy one if you want... I removed my pipe, smoothed the plate out, and used it to cover the hole with no tube anymore...perhaps a nice red billet alloy one would be cool, but who cares, and is looking down there anyway? :) )

Fuel them comes into your rail, and is pressure regulated and returned to the tank via the stock hard line. No more "secondary regulator" in the J-tube needed.

Easy.

^got it bypassed earlier, thanks though. Out of curiousity though, if i were to get a block off plate for the j tube, would the oil have to be drained?
