Installing oil press gauge

This probibly sounds like a really rediculous question but im having the hardest time installing my autometer electric oil pressure gauge. The problem is that i cant seem to get the stock one out. If im looking at the right thing it looks like the stock sender is in the left side of the block underneath the accordian tube. Ive tried for a solid 3 hours to get the thing out without removing to much from the engine ( turbo, accodian tube, lower IC pipe, and exhaust manifold heat shield were all removed). can someone give me some ideas or hints on how they got their's out? thanks guys

Its a 14mm iirc on the oil pressure sender unit.

i used an adjustable wrench if i recall and got it right off.

I just did this and it is a "ninja hand" status job if you haven't removed anything. I jacked up the car, had a 14mm wrench, layed under the car face by right front tire and reached up in there to get wrench on. It allowed about 2 inches of movement by the PS pump belt. I did one turn at a time, rotated wrench, turned, repeat for a long time. Damn thing would fall off and would have to reposition. Would be so much easier with a open face ratcheting wrench. Never want to do that again

does anyone make a "Y" splitter so you can run the stock sender as well as an aftermarket?

1/8 BSPT block side (stock sender) and 1/8 NPT for the aftermarket gauge most likely. Would need 1/8 NPT "T" and a 1/8 BSPT adapter (Autometer makes one). But where to buy the "T" hmmm. Maybe someone else who has done this knows....
