How's your pillow(s)?

Most average pillows pick up allergans and dust, or worse... and the filling loses its volume and thus doesn't give your neck support... which leaves your back at an odd angle which puts your hips at a weird angle, or if your knees out of alignment they'll do the same thing. Some people don't notice it, but for others it can cause chronic back pain... which will keep you up forever and ever :( My knees can be at any angle and not bother me, but if my neck isn't in an agreeable position when i fall asleep, I'll have headaches all day the next day.

I bought some fancy friction foam pillows that hold thier shape to whatever you pack them into, and they were worth every penny (cost 100 bucks each!). Sleeping was so much easier after we got those pillows.

Does your back, neck, or shoulders bother you, or have they bothered you at all over the past few months?

MKIIINA has some good points! More details.

Guys, chill out.

It's short term issue over the last week or two. If it continues, we'll get her to a doctor.

As for answers: Our mattress is a king size Sealy Signature Series Luxury Plush Euro PillowTop. It's a $4000 mattress... It's not the bed.

Pillows were replaced a couple of months ago.

I usually cant fall asleep before 12, even if i wake up early. I think its just what you become used to. If i try to lay down my mind just goes crazy with thoughts and i cant get comfortable either. What helps me is if i have a lot of work to do at work and/or work out hard afterwards at the gym. Always puts me right out! esp cardio

Ditto, working out was a big key for helping me sleep.

Sorry Mike didn't mean to pry really, just there's a few things that can lead to sleep issues that are generally quick fixes.

1. Bedding - Everyone thinks their bed is great even 15 years+ down the road. It's just like anything else, it wears out. Anything over 7-10 years is toast. The Sealy Signature line is pretty good to say the least and hasn't been out that long but its built on a strong background.
2. Pillows - 1 year and toss them if they are Wal-Mart specials. Tempur-pedic/Latex is the way to go! (3 years +) Easy way to see if a pillow is shot is on a queen fold it in half and if it pops back its ok. King - Fold into 1/3rds.
3. Stress! - This can go over everything else and is one of the things that is most heavily medicated or booze. Not my personal favorite method but it can work.

Good luck!
