ok well i was sitting here looking at a few pictures i took in gran turismo 4 yesterday and i came past this blurry one and i noticed that it looked very interesting.....if you cannot tell in the blurry picture, that is a 89+ style mkIII...

blur.jpg

well i noticed that the cowl looked like it seemed to go down the entire hood and past the nose to the end of the nose, sorta like on the bmw 850......

850.jpg

now this would really only work on pre 89s considering that they dont have that center piece that goes up the center on the bumper like the 89+ cars have..now the cowl starts here.....

now.jpg

and in order to have the style in the blurry picture work, the cowl would have to end here....at the edge of the nose......

future.jpg

so now that you have that hump in the nose , you would need a new grill to cover up the open area, the grill would be in the shape of something like this....

grill.jpg

the grill would have a tiny hump on it so it would fit right under the cowl, and it would start at the edges of the inner part of each turn signal.

also, if somethin like this were to be made, we would get rid of the supra emblem on the top of the nose, and we could have 3 options of having a emblem on the grill where the hump is, supra in the mkIII font, the new toyota emblem, or a trd emblem.....

i really do think this would look great, considering it is not taking away from our cars style or lines but just going with the lines, it would make the car look different, yet not like crap. i can tell it really wouldnt look that bad jusst by lookin at the picture....what does everybody think?

the kit would need to be a hood with a continue cowl and a nose with a continue cowl and a grill.....3 piece set.

*if you didnt catch or get anything i said in this post, plz ask to rephrase*

anyone remember the racing modification package for the mkiii supra in Gran Turismo 2? I LOVED THAT CAR. I would love to replicate it.

If you took a better look at the GT4 model of the A70, you'll see the nose piece is just like ours. The lines only go about half way into the nose piece. I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to point out.

the importantance of my thread seems to have went to my avatar? whats wrong with it? how is it offensive? and if it is offensive why the hell does this site even have a section just made for it?.....vast majority of car forums are male based and we act like we havent seen a females exterior before any where else on the net?...besides all that, it said nothing about i could not have that avatar in the forum rules (unless i read over it).

but anyway, back to the importantance of this thread.....

what im trying to point out is in the first blurry picture, it looks like the cowl goes all the way down to the very end of the nose of the car, instead of fading out in the mid part of the nose....i think it would look great on our cars...does anyone else see it?

i see what he's sayin... he wants to have the cowl extend all the way to the end of the nose so that it would almost look like a small air duct in the front....

i dunno that would look a little funny if you ask me. i actually prefer the 86.5-88 style nose, straight lines all across rather then the indentation.

the only modifications i will make is a custom bumper for stock looking but wider opening for IC and custom fitted rectangular foglights, and i'll probably shave off the little headlight washers too.

as for the avatar -- i think it's because some people work and could get in trouble or even fired for having such a photo in their cache if something is looking for pornographic photos, it's kind of borderline ... or if their boss walked by and saw that, especially if they were a she :)

well for that sake and giving good point, ill take it down, but i did here this place had issues with offensive material, which i think blows anyhow.

anyone else think it may look rather appealing, the cowl extending to the nose?

the problem with the whole extending the cowl is that its kinda mockin the 850, the 850 looks sexy as it is, and so does the supra, but ya never know till you try it out.

Avatar= NSFW. period. I want to be able to surf this site without having to worry about stuff like that, I didnt mind it, infact I had one that was about or if not worse than that, I removed it because they asked me 2 and I didnt think about the people at the time who surf here while at work, I was in college at the time i had it up.

it is then it isnt, you have to realize, our cars would still have that space going across the whole entire front end of the car between the nose and the front bumper, the 850 has the cowl going down the front with the signature bimmer grill on it, so they would both still look different from one another even if this modification was to be made.

say you did this, would you use a 850 setup? or just model it after the 850?

what do you mean model it after a 850 or use a 850 setup?

this is more of a body kit than anything else, the 850 is just prime example because the cars look so close alike.

what I meant was deminsion wise, you going to just build it from the ground up, or grab some dimensions from the 850 to help you along with it.

I don't really see the point. but that's me.

Not sure how you're basing this off that blurry pic saying the lines of the hood go all the way through the nose piece when they don't.
