OK..Till today I was just running my car with a set of RC 550's that I had in my previous car that have bad spray pattern and couldn't be used, they just pour out fuel, but I put them in my car just so I could start it up. Now, while these were in temporarily, I was gathering up my 750's. I finally got all the 750's a couple days ago and when I went to switch out the injectors I found big problems.
The 750's I ordered were Delphi low impedance, domestic style injectors, that have a "domestic" style feed (part of the injector going into the fuel rail). My 550's are domestic style clips but "Japanese" style feed. Now until now I thought you bought "domestic" style injectors for the clips for the wire part, but now I see I need a "Japanese" style feed.
After talking with a few people I've been given options of:
1) drilling out the fuel rail to fit the bigger o-rings on the domestic style 750's and get different o-rings and spacers to make it work.
2) send the injectors out to www.fuelinjectorclinic.com for have them either switch my 550 style feed onto my 750 injectors or have them fix the 550s and make them flow 750cc.
Is there something I'm missing? I really can't believe a fucking set of injectors has caused me so many problems.
Additional needed info: Running an AEM EMS, the other side of the injector that goes into the head fits fine
