Umm, that is close, but it looks to be a bit off. I have done the calculations in class and i have to study injector sizing for my final on Tuesday, so i will go over the excel and correct it when i find some time this weekend. All of the right stuff is in the excel, just the numbers seem a bit low. I remember i did my car with a 330 power goal and it was just about 370 cc injectors.

well, i grabbed my calculations, and the only real difference is that the rule of thumb for a moderately boosted engine is a BSFC of .57. But that was the only difference. No big difference. I changed it and it matched my calculations perfectly. I actually even found one error in my calcs. :)The excel is done great! Good job!

If you read my original post, I stated:

... these are all "theoretical" calculations used for fuel system design. I know you can find 101 cases where someone will tell you "well I made more than that" - these are the calculations with built in safety margins that I'm comfortable with when doing motor design.

I use .60 for a boosted, fuel injected car.

yeah quite a few people have told me I'd be fine with my stock 370's up to that level without maxed duty, so thats why the speadsheet confused me a bit.. it recommended 440's unless im not understanding something here.

then again im using a weird spreadsheet program so maybe it read wrong (shrug)..

How much hp certain injectors can support and how much hp is recommended to run on certain injectors are two different things.

I understand that, but.. you're the one that said I'd be fine into that level on the 370's IIRC and I doubt you'd recommend over 80% duty cycle.

EDIT: Now I see what you were saying, well I'll just disregard recommendations..
