Actually, I think another guy (I can't think of his SN off the top of my head) might be coming in his Impressida. ;)

He posted in here already......But I don't have the time to flip through 12.5 pages of useless information, LOL.

Lee do you mean me? Whats an "Impressida"? I will more than likely stop by for a little while, and probably will be bringing the Cressida, even though it will not be completely finished.

Yep. You're the one. ;)

Sorry, Old nickname for an awesome Cressida I used to know of.....

Cressida + Impressive = Impressida. :biglaugh:

Well I doubt anyone would consider my Cressida impressive, right now the only things I've done to was sourcing an OEM cd player, installing the MKIII sawblades and 3.9 LSD. BUT we got the 87 Supra Turbo Targa home last night, so we get to start removing stuff from that and pulling the engine. (gee ill-maintained supra developed rod knock, go figure). I'm swiping the r154 and goodies out of that for my Cressida, and then putting my old n/a engine from the x8 into the supra. Still debating on whether the supra with be an auto or 5spd, since I have my auto parts and an auto parts car sitting in a local junkyard.

Figured I would put 1 picture of the new supra up here, and make the wifey do a build log in the gallery section later with more. Well after 9 hours this is what we dragged home on the back of a flat bed:

Hey! I'm in the Buckeye!

Just catching up to this thread... I'd LOVE to get my ride ready for this meet! Dyno runs sounds GREAT! (I MIGHT be ready for a baseline by then!)

...I'll keep that date in mind as a target... it's also my BIRTHDAY WEEK!!!:biglaugh:

So is anyone interested in buying a Supra? ArmandoP's old car w/ a RK free engine... new-ish(if not new) HG, new rod bearings.... 89, targa, 5sp, white package, red (?) int, 3" exhaust, new clutch... Should be somewhere in the neighborhood of $2500-3500... have cash, will deal.

Will be running this weekend, come hell or high water. (lol @ Columbus residents)

As far as the intermittent knocking in the FRONT of the engine... Have you checked your crank pulley bolts to make sure they are torqued to the 350ft/lbs?

What the hell? Armando's old car has blue interior. :aigo:

I'll trade you a GT42, a blue Supra & a silver Supra...both motorless, and a 3" Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion........:biglaugh:

Blue interior it is then...

I haven't looked at/worked on the car for like... a year it seems. All Rumptis's fault. I swear he has the work ethic of the laziest of lame STi owners that need to get their 'Greenwithenvy' MKII's running...

Will trade for healthy 1 or 2j... For realziez. I don't even care what Jason says. :icon_bigg

IMPORTANT : READ THIS IF YOU PLAN TO DYNO.

Well, We've possibly run into a little bit of a dilemma...

As most of you know (from last year), Indy meet/Winged Warrior falls on Mothers Day weekend. Okay, No biggie.
(Still had a HUGE turnout last year, So that's not my concern.)

I've still got a couple other dyno shops to get in touch with,
But so far, The best I've been able to find is $75/3 pulls.
Granted, it's a very nice shop/area, plus he'll be providing food/drinks for everybody.....

It's a little pricier than what we're used to for a couple reasons:
-Food/Drinks provided & it's a Sunday, so they have to pay the staff "overtime".

So.........I'll leave it up to you guys on this one.

I'm still checking out some other places...But I really like this place and would love to have them host our dyno portion of the meet.

Please do give me your mature/realistic input.....
I don't want to hear a bunch of whining from you cheap Supra owners because it's too much. Again, take into effect the given circumstances...
And give me your honest opinion! I'd like to set something in stone here within the next couple weeks.

Thanks,
Jeff

Please tell me you are joking. Anybody who WHINES at $25/pull as they GAMBLE their PRICELESS PROJECT for a shot at some number... SHOULDN'T be making a pull ANYWAY!:nono:

I think YOU (Boost Lee) should exercise EVERY license to select the place/terms that you see most suited for this activity. ESPECIALLY with refreshments, let alone a "captured audience" arena of fellow Supra people AND others alike... you gotta recognize the VALUE ADD that is being facilitated for us here.

I REALLY hope I have things sorted out for this... even though my head arrival may be early May... if I'm lucky!

Boost Lee, you have my support, I'll be there if possible between work and the car... maybe even come with the Solara (STILL a Toyota COUPE!;) and although the 'lara surely doesn't need a DYNO PULL... lol, I'd likely be willing to toss-in $75 to join the event.

Step up on this guys/gals... sounds like a great effort by Boost Lee, and a SUPER opportunity to make a quality event at Indy.

I really appreciate that, crisp.

Yes, the Solara is still Toyota...plus you've got wheels on it similar in style to mine,
So it's a winner in my book. :biglaugh:

And to reiterate, that *IS* something that I hope people can take into effect.
It's a very reputable shop here in metro-Indy (not ran by a bunch of teenagers or anything), and the location is literally perfect.
It's maybe 10-15 minutes from O'Reilly Raceway park...
So if we could incorporate this place into the meet, with a hotel somewhere in between
this Dyno shop and O'Reilly Raceway Park, it would be very convenient for out of towners.

I know what I'd like to do already...But I'd like some moral support from the community before I step into something that could potentially make me look like an asshat.
(Example, Dyno day comes around and we have 3 cars dyno out of 40+ when the shop is expecting 10+).

hahahaha thats great... he is teabaging himself ..... jeff when May comes around if my financial situation improves i may dyno just to see what my numbers are.... ill let you know

But i think that 75 for 3 pulls and you get food and drinks is a great price especially for the location that your talking about..

Thats not a bad price some of the shop by me are 60 to 65 for 3 pulls. So another 10 bucks for food and drinks not bad at all.

Cool beans.

Scooter - I'll never look like that guy. I'm much more attractive looking in that position...

:runaway:

On a serious note, That's another reason why I'm trying to get us set up with [Shop X]...
It's an in-ground DynoJet.
