Nice write up.
Never realized how much work really goes into this board untill now, but it makes sense with all the people and various opinions, and knowlege coming and going all the time.

I don't really have an opinion of the "trader ratings, or rep points" deal. I can see why it might be needed, but really you can tell generally if someone has a clue pretty quickly regardless of the point score they have under their avatar... (The old saying goes something like this... you can let people think your stupid, or open your mouth and remove all doubt... It holds very true on everything you write, even more so I think than spoken word.)

The nice thing is SM is really so much more effective as a MK3 resource than SF has ever been, especially lately. I'm glad to see it's going to stick around for what appears to be a very long time.

A big key point is the fact that this site is NOT a commercial disguised as a discussion board... New ideas, and modifications don't get squashed here if they might intrude into the business profits of a particular paying vendor/advertiser. That makes this site 1000% better than any site trying to just pay the bandwith bill each month.

get trader rating feedbacks like they have on SF and on my local board tamparacing.com

you can click on them and they are public. they are ebay style almost directly. get those in here.

I would love to see that.

Grim: If someone were to edit the PHP to adjust the ratings, it might be worthwhile to add a couple different ratings users can get 'rep points' for, like seperate ratings for tech tips and for sale. This way it would be easier for new members to know if someone can help them, or the likelyhood of getting scammed.

Just a thought, I know how hard it is to modify a large PHP program, but if someone had the knowledge/time it isn't that hard. I'd offer to do it, but I just don't have the time(I'd say it would be a 5-6 hour job for someone that knew what they were doing).

Ok folks, I'm going to assume shortly that everyone is done contributing to this, and we'll start implementing it.

Some of the suggestions are going to have to wait, unfortunately, as they are beyond the capability of vBulletin out of the box. We may be able to find and install custom modifications for some of them, however keep in mind that we have to weigh each of these very carefully, each one makes the upgrade process to new software much longer and more difficult to complete successfully.

Great ideas!

Though I do not know about releasing the website to NON supra mk3 owners....that is the BEAUTY of this website forum is that we do not have the trolls like "other forums" do....

I would rethink that side of the bargain.

Again, I stress that none of this is written in stone, if you feel that you have something to add, by all means, add to this thread, pm me, whatever it takes.
