A BIC lighter will not fit in a stock AFM. but it will in a Lexus
Same with a Spark plug

Stock injector will fit in a stock AFM but just barley

But it looks really clean :)

Side not the size would not make your engine cut if the AFM electronics went out or you used chemicals to clean it or bad wiring then it could be a reason your cutting out.. ANY Codes ?

I thought so just wanted to verify.

I'm throwing a 31 and a 51. I have checked the wires at the ecu and at the afm.

Was told it was good and being used but now I'm questioning if it is a broken afm??

Is there a common place where wiring breaks or somewhere more specific I should check I'm lost at this point

And thanks, I think it might be newer?

you running 550's right? It's pretty shocking the number of people who throw on a LEX AFM without bigger injectors.....

Do you have a friend that can lend you a LEX or Stock AFM electronics to see if your AFM is the problem?

Lol no I didn't know It was a lex Afm when I got the engine I just bought the stock injectors too...

The person that had the engine before me had standalone and so the harness has been chopped a little.

I haven't tested the afm yet like I should but none of my friends have GTE... just GE.

I figure it would run a little better than it is now even though it has smaller injectors, it seems to make no difference whether I have the afm pluged in or not...

idk about the 51 code i dont have a/c and do not get that code... well it doesn't blow cold and i dont have a a/c belt

But if you are running stock injectors get a stock AFM ASAP cause you are going to lean out your motor and blow it..

Ill Trade ya a Stocker for that Lex if ya don't got injectors for it.

OHHH ok sweet ya I took my A/C out well thanks that helps A lot now I'm not so worried about that one!

I think I just need to go through the wiring really thoroughly...

I'm not sure the AFM housing is your problem, I would put my money on the actual AFM electronics (it tends to just go out at random). Also, not sure about the A/C; however, if I remember correctly code 51 is Signal. It could also be the throttle position sensor (happened to me).
