If it's leaking from the rack (easy to tell because the rubber boots will fill up and spill fluid out the sides) there's a simple fix you can try. I took apart the rack on my old supra and replaced all the seals and it still leaked. I was quite angry and just lived with the leak.

When I got my new supra, it had the same annoying leak. I tried adding some ATF "Stop Leak" just because it was $3 and couldn't hurt. It actually fixed it perfect, I guess all it does is soften/recondition the seals. I don't care if people think its ghetto, it worked perfect and didn't take me a day to drop/rebuild the rack. It's been like 4 months, still no leaky.

Eh, one can't really marvel at the level of technical advice and suggestions. It's obviously indicative of the current demographics of ownership for this vehicle. [] NO OFFENCE :( [/]

Since I was changing to an aftermarket PS reservoir and my high pressure line had a minor leak, I changed over to standard SS braided line coupled with AN fittings. You can see a related thread here - http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133&highlight=hose+power+blackdevilsupra

Yea, it probably was somewhat dangerous, but I didn't have the time to take all of the belts off...and yea, i'm pretty poor, that's what happens when you have a Supra at 17...lol. I had my belt like this for about three weeks, driving daily, I was just very careful about the placement, and would check it every time I stopped the car, to make sure it was still clear of all the other pulleys/belts. It was a bitch and probably bloody stupid too, but it got me by ;).

I guess... but being 17 is not really any kind of excuse. When I was 16 (I'm only 17 now) it didn't matter, I would run myself in hundreds in debt if it meant fixing something correctly, that was before I was even allowed to drive by myself!

Ill just keep paying 5$ to fill up the little PS tank.

I was afraid somthing like the rack would sieze up mid corner would happen which is why last night after some reading I decied not to.

Ill just get the whole engine bay steam cleaned then look for my leak. Days job.

Good choice! Just make sure you do keep it filled until it gets fixed, a buddy of mine has a leak and when he starts to run low the PS will sort of lock mid corner intermitantly.

BTW, are you cleaning it your self or is there a shop somewhere that does it? If you're doing it yourself what are you using?

I figure if I can find a steamer I can do it myself. The subframe iss covered in gloop and gunk and just crap. I might borrow pressure washed and put it on low and do it sometime next week. I just got paid 100$ for selling some Porsche parts so Im gonna tacke this and my gas leak!

What do you reccomend MKIIIman?

I don't have any reccommendations really, I'm interested to see if you can come up with some sort of steamer though. Since it seems like something that would come in handy, and a better alternative to power washing which will just soak everything in sight. :)

I was a little over $1,200 in debt until just recently, as I had to borrow the money just to buy my car... I got lucky about two weeks ago, when my grandfather payed off the loan, as my graduation gift. So :icon_razz .

Guys.... seriously bad ideas here.
I'm glad it got straightened out.
I got a bit concerned when zip tying the belt came up as a "good idea"

I've got a high-pressure PS hose that I'll let go for $50 shipped.
It's a brand new Autozone hose, just misplaced the box long ago.
Comes with new copper crush washers.
Someone buy this before death ensues.
