Do you have a thermometer? Have you taken your temp? When you run fever alot of times you feel cold, get shivers, and sweat. I'm not a doctor either but from the mother of two........... GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My little girls' doctor has always told me that if a fever last more than 24 hours they need to be seen.

Fuck whatever it costs, you need to go to the DR. Sounds to me like you either have a massive pinched nerve, a huge viral infection, or mono.
I'm a medical student, if that matters at all, but i'd stop drinking hot chocolate. Please. Drink alots of water.
Chills are symptoms of many things often relating to fever. I'm thinking flu, but when you mention 'neck pains, unstable vertebrae and chills(fever)' it could be an infection or tumor(rare). But take your damn temperature and get back to us.

SOD!! Ok so do you need a ride to the Doctor???? Its a drive to WI but I would rather see you get to the doctor than die at your house!!!!! You so need to go and now. This has been going on for a while now. Im no expert either but dam man you need some help. Have you called the Ask a nurse yet????

Dude, it seems to me you are/were running a high fever. Fever tends to make the patient feel like s/he is very cold, and they feel the need to warm up. Hence you cover with three blankets and drink hot chocolate. Obviously, Advil brings your fever down, and because you're all covered up, you start sweating like crazy. Once the Advil effect is gone, you're back to feeling cold and needing to warm up.
You need to see a doctor immediately. A 3 day old, high fever could be dangerous, a possible symptom of something more serious. Insist on them run cultures on throat, urine and blood samples. I'm tired of seeing perfectly healthy, young people drop dead. Two weeks ago my 29 year od cousin, who didn't know she had high blood pressure, had a spike and died. I got more bad news today about a perfectly healthy (at least in my eyes) 32 year old co-worker died over the weekend.
Go get checked out.

you can be billed from a doctors office, got to call around first and ask. emergency rooms wont deny you care either
We had a patient (internship) who had the same feelings.... he died two days later, anurism, althoguh his neck was not throbbing his head obviously was, loss of feeling in different extremeties, he had fevers and was genereally in bad health, you should see a physician, things can get real serious really fast
