The more Im around them, the more I now notice how much easier it is to fix something on an import vehicle. The ones Ive been around.

For ex: I had a 1991 4cyl Mustang, a 1995 Aerostar Van, a 2000 Pointiac Firebird and now this 1994 Corsica. One thing I noticed on them all, fixing anything simple was a fucking pain in my ass, still is.

When I got the supra, it was my first import car. I was a stupid teen back in the day, I was like man, imports are BS... but in the back of my head I always admired their engineering, so much power and pull from tiny ass motors. They made power in more ways than size... but I kept my mouth shut.

I lost my Firebird to a repo, I LOVED that car, it was horrible for me, and I swore my next car would compensate me, power wise and such. I fell upon the supra, which a long time ago I swore would be the only import Id ever touch.... I ate my words 1 month into it. I LOVE that Supra more than any car I have ever EVER touched, seen, driven. I used to stare at Trans Ams when they passed, wanting one so bad, my gf would be like I know I know baby... now the other day she goes OOOO look at that Trans Am (2002 Black Firehawk...) normally I drooled, I was like eh, I cant wait for my car to be rebuilt so I can whoop their fucking ass in a run.

The engineering seems to be pure genius.

Im trying to change the thermostat on my supie, 5 mins MAX... doing it on this fuckin corsica, 2 hours... its stupid how they try to cram shit into a tight ass space on domestics. I notice it more and more how ignorant I was to dislike imports. I drove my friends 240SX, was amazed at the pull that thing has, I want one so bad now lol, as a DD.

Anyways, just goin on about it, point is, since I drove the supra for the very first time back in Jan, Im hooked.:evil2:

Oh man I hate carbs. There are plenty of domestic cars I would be happy to drive, but they where all built in the 50s 60s and early 70s. They are all now collector cars and pull huge ammounts of money, and oil is still near $70 a barrel and won't drop.

SO I will stick with my imports.

HAHA Yeah, well domestics are simple but a lot of newer ones espeically the f body cars are a pain to mess with anything and an american sedan is a pain too, my mom had a 96 lumina back in the day and to change the starter took most shops 6 to 10 hours no joke.

If I went domestic, which prolly will never happen I'd go with a 86 or 87 GN, a 99-01 TA WS6, and 99-01 Camaro SS, or a 03/04 cobra. If it were old school I'd say a 1969 Camaro Z28, SS, or Yenko god rest its soul or a 70 or 71 dodge challenger 426 or a cuda coupe 426 or 440 six pack.

Totally agree man, completely. Im just more frustrated at this fuckin corSICKa Im stuck with... its not too bad though, just discovered that gauge I put in it is fucked, reading all wrong, car wasnt overheating, it was running great, keeping cool, stupid gauge was reading way past 270*

Easier is not that same as more enjoyable. I'm sure working on a 7MGE is easier than changing stock twins on my car, but you won't find me around any GEs. lol.

I miss my '79 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency. It was huge, safe, comfortable and simple to work on; even with a 6.6L V-8 under the hood, there was plenty of room for hands.

Older cars are eaiser to work on period. My 1977 Celica had huge amounts of room, and everything was pretty basic.
