I'm quite unsure if my gauge is reading correctly!

My car is pretty much bone stock, most of my investment went into replacing interior and making it clean inside.

Was testing out the new SSQV I installed, was looking at the gauge for my turbo (The one with the cute turbo fan icon!). I thought at full boost it would go up to the +8 mark, but it just barely makes it to that. I'm reading this around 4k-5kRPM.

Is this normal? I don't think the boost would go higher if I ran my RPM's higher. I'll include a picture of the gauge, and make a red line at where it stops. I hope this is normal, or do I have a boost leak, maybe something else?

I checked all the piping and I'm pretty sure there isn't any leaks.

Here's the picture in the attachment: The RED LINE is where the needle stops at full boost (Or to my knowledge is full boost).

Ah perfect, I was a bit worried I wasn't doing something right. Just getting into the practice of modifying stock.

I can honestly say that, every time I change something. This little voice in the back of my head gets paranoid and tells me "Your engine is going to break!". So I get frantic and check everything and if something feels funny or is slightly off, then I go wacko.

I'm thankful for the help here, you guys really are great.
