I got word yesterday morning that my new EAS for the Marine Corps is 30 November, vs. June 20 2009. I'm getting medically discharged for my shoulder. I should be starting terminal leave withing a couple weeks. So long as I'm home for Thanksgiving, I'll be happy. But I want to leave as soon as my car is complete because I have to drive through the mountians. 1200 miles straight up the I-5 North until I reach home in Porltand, Oregon. This is the reason I've been working on my car so much lately. Tonight I'm going to work until atleast 10 on my car. The only thing I have left is to install the carpet and front seats, then the dash. After that, I need to figure out what a sound is coming from the driveshaft tunnel, reglue my C's shifter, find my ATF leak, retighten my DS bolts, and raise the suspension up an inch and soften the dampening for a better drive. Anyways, I just wanted to put that out there. I'm totally stoked to be getting out. College classes start soon after I get home, so life will be a far cry from the Corps.

Thank you for your service and have a great time in Oregon!! (I don't really know what's in Oregon, but I'm sure school will keep you occupied.)

Sorry about your shoulder though.

I don't like Cali. Too many restrictive car laws, which is ironic when you consider many of the major aftermarket companies are based out of SoCal. I also don't like paying sales tax. Oregon is home for me. I was born and raised there, and almost my entire family lives there.

if you need to stop in the Bay Area for any reason, I can help ya out

As a matter of fact, I'm staying overnight at my buddy Lau's in San Francisco. Any way you could pick me up a set of snow chains (225/50-16) and I can pay you back when I pick them up? I need them for going through the mountains because they are required. Thanks Kyle.

You will be back.

No I won't. This state isn't very car friendly. And back home, I can get permanent disabled veteran plates (that means a 1 time easy emission test). No more worrying about mods to my car. Even though the cops in Oregon really don't care about what mods you have to your car, so long as you drive safe.

Gtfo my state.

You can keep your state. And it's screwy cops and laws.
