ah, now I see. so how would you fix it, turn the crank pully to 0 and then take the cps out. after that would you turn the crank 180deg. or one full rotation then put the cps back in? I'm saying this because you can't really put the cps upsidedown.
Im getting like 11 mpg, and im not even boosting much.

hatchet. your cps is a tooth off. when i bought my car i could not get it to time except to 5 degrees. same as yours. it takes sometime to get it right. it aggravated the shit out of me but after a while i got it right and now i dont have any trouble removing it and retiming it. the first time i had a friend time it and he got it DEAD on by ear. i hooked a timing light up the next day and it was DEAD on. so he did a freakin awesome job timing mine by ear. thanks Jason.

I may be at 5deg now but durring timing it was either 5 or 20deg BTDC and I chose five, are you sure its still just a tooth? It's more likely that I'm off a tooth, and I need to get a new cps seal any way.

If you search, there is a picture on here that shows you what the CPS needs to be at when the engine is at TDC and the cam marks are correct. Then you have your static/non-moving timing right. Same thing you'd do during a rebuild and putting the engine together for the first time. THEN you crank it up, using the jumped block to put it to 10 degrees. Then you take the jumper out, set it to 14 degrees for best power. : p
oh boy thats a lot of info haha. i havent been on the the forums in a while cuz for some stupid reason i was driving home without my bumper (i just installed a fmic + hks bov and didnt have time to reinstall the bumper) and the line that goes to the oil cooler was dragging all the way home and now it has leaks. yeah..so i need to replace that before i worry about mpg again. GAH AH. I heard the sound of bov for maybe 10 min before my car was undrivable. ahhhhhhhh i hate myself
