no fart can, and no blue tint. intake would be fine just keep it stock looking on the outside. Get some black limo tint and a nice smooth exhaust w/ glass packs and your good to go.

I wouldnt consider it rice :) Ive actually been looking @ CRX's w/ a nice exhaust w/ resonator they sound decent and get 30+mpg :)

Who cares if it is considered rice anyway. A civic is a civic is a civic, if you modify it someone will call it rice. Basically, if you own a civic and do anything to it you've riced it out, so just drive it like the pos beater you want it to be and enjoy the incredible reliability and fuel mileage!

Theres nothing rice about wanting a little more pep in your DD. I dunno about visual upgrades though; If the car actually looks like an "everday POS" then I'm not sure window tint would really help the cause.

Post up some pics. Lets see this beast!:naughty:

put some nice tint on it, maybe some nice rims. keep it clean all around, inside and out. maybe an intake, but i'd stay away from an exhaust unless it's quiet. you wont really benefit much from it anyway.

A good quality header will give you some good gains but again it will make any 4 cyl. sound rice I have a focus as a winter beater and with a header its fuckin rice but what ever its cheap to drive and the header gives it better gas mileage if anyone has ever seen the collector on the stock peace they would know why.

Actually my friend has a '95 Civic with a Flowmaster exhuast and it sounds good, for a Honda. If you are doing exhuast do full exhuast not just weld on a muffler.

which gen civic are you gettin?

95 range?? thought about it too as a learning project but quite frankly i saw my friends civics and all the work that went into those, my $1k went further than their $1k. its a good project and if you do the mechanical work yourself you'll have the baseline ready to start serious work on the supra.

if your gonna get your civic and get power out of it you dont need a loud exhaust, its n/a so your gonna need some backpressure.
headers
intake,
and if you feel like going through the trouble depending on your engine, theres the shaved head trick.

you wont get an 11 sec car doing these but you'll have a pretty fun/pretty responsive ride for day to day use.

None of your fucking business
If its your beater, why put money into tinting and rims? Put that money into the Supra or save it... Modding a car you plan on driving daily for "transportation" is like throwing money away. I say buy a reliable car for the week. Come out and play on the weekend.

I wouldn't mind a Civic for a DD. I would make sure its clean though. Some low key rims, intake, headers and low key exhaust with a small tip.

An intake will make it sound crappy... An old roomate had a 98 civic, he put an akimoto sp? intake on it, no exhaust just the intake. It sounded so bad. Leave it stock.

o, ok...ive never owned a civic, and gladfully never will

but honestly, i would not put one cent in the civic

Buy a first gen MR2...I absolutely loved mine and wish now that I hadn't sold it...it was fun, zippy, handled great and didn't really have much to go wrong with it!

hell, buy a quattro, and enjoy the other aspect of driving, muddy ass mountain roads, tne engines are just as solid, beat on it like no tomorrow and the thing still purrs like a kitten at 6krpm.
