As the title says, sadly, I'm colorblind in my right eye.

Well here's the story.

I woke up yesterday around 11am with a horrible pain in my right eye, and it was so red it was insane. So I didn't tell my parents because they weren't home and I just thought it was something with my contacts.

About an hour later, I passed out because the pain was unbearable. I woke up in the emergency room with a blacklight over my face, I guess it scared me so I passed out again. I woke up a couple hours from now, and I'm colorblind in my right eye. Apparently I'm lucky I still have my vision, and I could get my color back if I wear this eyepatch for a month.

As of now, I don't feel any pain because I'm on some really crazy pain killers.

To Supravillan, I got the valve covers, alternator, most of the intake, fuel rail, and the throttle body done. Doctor told my stepdad I can work in 3 days! Woot!

Did they give you any kind of explanation as to why you went colorblind? Will the color come back. Sorry to hear though.

did you sleep with your contacts on..? or do you have the night contacts? did you clean it well enough? it might be a chance that your eye got infected from dirty contacts. the infection ultimately leads to blindness, your very lucky you're colorblind. sorry to hear the bad news. get well

They said where I have the temporary (Like 2 month) contacts, I need to take them out every night. And I didn't.

They said it's gotten too bad for me to fix the colorblind. They said the contact I was prescribed for, is the wrong type. It's too tight on my eye and now it's got a bad infection.

I'll take pics of it here soon, but right now, the loritabs (sp) are kicking in. Thanks guys!

LMAO, actually its the internal bleeding of the eye

some bouncers at a local club ruffed me up pretty good, destroyed my favortie jeans, but only really walked away with the eye issue, a couple marks on my neck from when they were choking me beyond the ability to breath/talk for myself as they "escorted me out", and some marks from my face breaking my fall on the concrete on 2 occasions (hardly noticeable though) :3d_frown:

I still have no idea WHY they did it considering the fact 10 minutes before the head bouncer/manager was "buying" me shots...:nono::nono:

needless to say i won't ever be going back there...the more i tell people at my school the more stories i hear of people getting roughed up pretty good there too....its just unnecessary

st2b: Sorry to hear man, I would be very freaked out and bummed if I woke up like that. Sleeping with your contacts is a horrible idea, I'm sure know you know that though :(.

There was a guy who never took out his contacts and for a year places a new one over the old one. It became a solid layer attached to his eye and had to be surgically removed. I hope you get the colored vision back in yourt eye. In the very least, I hope it doesn't get any worse.

Thanks guys.

And lol Jay.

I still can't see color, and everything is like foggy. But my left eye is perfect. I seem to be fine with no pain, but I feel really goofy because of the pain killers.

The doctor said if I didn't take them out ASAP like I did, they would have rolled behind my eye and I would have to gone under the knife.

To anyone thinking about getting contacts, DON'T!

The black stuff on my face is the tape residue from the patch.
