Hi all!

Did everybody heard somthing about Ikeya-Formula-Shifters?
Its a Shifter who make a sequential-shift shema out of a standart h-shifter. But its not availble for Supra! It only for ehe nissan`s an the other cars. So, my question is if it wold be possible to modficate a ikeya shifter for a 180SX or somthing (it has to be a 5-Speed tranny with the reverse on the same spot) that it can install in a supra with a R154 transmission?

I dont know about Supra, but had it done on rally 4wd corolla, we used S14a shifter. It really isnt much of an effort, it just needs some precision otherwise u will shot your synchro's ;) I'll look for pic's on our modification and post them up.

Yeah, but stillway is not the same concept! The Ikeya shifter is for up and down shifting all gears and is only for sequential shifting. The stillway is only to shift the first 4 Gears up, and then u have to use it as a normal stickshifter.

I developed one of these for volkswagens only my design works the clutch for you as well. I haven't built a prototype yet but i do plan to patant my version as soon as i get the money

Edit: i could prob. design one for the supra as well but i would have to get the vw one built first.

Edit2: after looking at their design i relized it mecanical. mine would be electronic so you could also use a push button setup on your steering wheel

This sounds Awesome a nonclutchless sequential shifter would be so much fun!:icon_bigg If they made it I would for sure buy it!

Very interesting whats the price of one of these shifters.
well the place i went to wanted $17k to build a prototype for the vw. so i'd have to go out and find to cost to build them after that one and account for the cost to recoupe my money from the prototype

So if u visit the ikeya website ( www.ikeya-f.co.jp/ ) then u will find a list of all cars how can order a shifter. There are lot of nissans, maybe there is one car in the list where the H-Pattern is close to the supra ( i mean 5 gears, reverse on the same spot, an the angles and distantses from gear to gear) so when one of u guys can answer that question, it wold be more easyer to make a shifter from ikeya that it works on the R154 of the supra.
So please help me if u know stuff about it.

SMG can be full manual, or full auto. I don't see your point. The only lazy part about it is the clutch which is hydraulically actuated for you with various selectable programs of engagement speed.
