We all here would eventually find a performance level we are happy with daily driving and decide to put the rest of your Supra funding elsewhere, usually towards making it look better. Some people have a balance of both (JT2MA71, Duane, etc.) some are all out performance (Sl0w66) others are deemed "ricers' because they have an ugly POS that doesnt even have a hair drier on it.

However, assuming you did reliably reach a power level and you wanted to spruce up the outside a bit, along with suddenly have a few grand to fix it up...what would you do?

I'd get a 89+ spoiler, "electron blue" (whatever the EVO IX's blue is) ZO6/CTS-V mesh painted black for grill replacements, LED clear corners, get a custom Top Secret style CF hood, get some 17" Kosei K1 TS rims, paint them a big darker gunmetal with a matching blue trim, get black-on-black 91/92 trim all around, Xenon HIDs, and get a bit of tinting. Heres what I did in PS a while back as an idea, and yes that is my Supra:

i have the white package but its old so all i would do is repaint it pearl white paint job, and... drag radials, get new driver side seat but i'd get the stock leather one so it matches, umm new floormats that say supra cus mine are old...... ummm, fix that little chip in my windsheild and.............. get a steering wheel cover. by then i probably would have thought of something else to do to the engine.

i hate cars that LOOK like they perform more than they actualy do.

personally, if i could do anything as far as looks, in short it would be black, black, and more black...black exterior with the cfx bumper, CF hood, a Cf gracer wing if it's even available, 18" racing harts, in gunmetal....as for the interior, black leather and a fiberglass box where the back seats (which are useless) should be, and i want the stock gauges with carbon fiber gauges on them, and the armrest, vent cover, and pretty much everything else duane makes....yeah, i have a thing about carbon fiber....

Stock black paint off the '91-92s, Turbo A duct, JZA70 front lip, Wingless, Sunshade, 17" CCW 3-piece classics in black, all the lights tinted, that is all.

Kaminari (is that how it is spelled?) side skirts! Best looking of all.

A paint job is in order since I did sand my entire car down with 320 grit already.
Color--not sure if I want to go with a very vibrant royal blue (like the 350Z) or back to the Vette's Torch Red.

My 88 is undergoing an 89+ conversion. I already bought the 89+ wing, mirrors, tails, fogs, & directionals.
Now I just need the bumper & grilles...oh & the 89+ mouldings too:)

Everything I want, I will be doing. I want the Greddy/Trust front bumper to put my Turbo A-Duct in, a Bomex UAD-071 lip, a Kaminari rear bumper and MAYBE a whale-tail. I haven't decided on that. I am thinking that exterior paint may be blue or black, but the interior will be black, blue and polished aluminum.
If you take what ndnxtc posted and add a Turbo A-Duct, that's pretty much what I want.

interior:
black leather where all the vinyl is now, black suede where all the cloth is
black bride racing seats
all dash lighting in blue LEDs
black carpet, black floor mats with brushed stainless batman symbols affixed (silly, I know)
rubberized piece in the center console changed for CF, same with the guage cluster

exterior:
CF hood with gill vents on either side of the center raised dealy (just behind where the turbo is underneath)
CF front fenders
CF side skirts, something subtle in shape that lowers that edge, but nothing you wouldn't expect factory
CF front bumper and supports, again something that lowers the edge but nothing crazy. Maybe even something along the lines of the pre89 front end, or pellman's custom one.
CF rear bumper that shortens the "ledge" a couple inches, lowers the front edge and mild diffusers across the back
CF targa
CF doors w/lexan windows
darkest legal window tinting all around
paint the whole car antracite silver (yeah, even the CF parts. Not interested in much CF on the outside)
clear corners
slam the car with some flex coilovers
5zigen heidfields, 17x8.5 front 17x9.5 rear
Make the headlights come up halfway, and dual half height headlights inside

I'm slowy working toward this stuff, except most of the CF stuff will probably end up being fiberglass (what gets painted anyway, dash parts are still on the book for CF). That and I don't know that I'll ever be able to afford the 5zigens.

PS: I love reading this post, so many people with ideas for really cool cars

I guess I'll do my interior plans too;

Custom 2-tone black/grey seats, front and back, door panels, the panels beside the back seats, then everything else BLACK!
Custom triple gauge pod (where climate control used to be)
Dual gauge pod on top of steering column
Climate Control moved to glove box
Greddy Gauges
Turbo A MOMO steering wheel and shift knob or TRD shift knob

That's all I can think of at the moment, I'd also tint the windows.

CassMori

Boost Addict
GRacer front, Regulus nose (if I can find one), maybe Bomex whale tail, probably some 18" wheels of some sort.
fix all the dents!
Paint either original color, with painted to match trim, or possibly a dark emerald metallic pearl & matching trim, with an interior change to shadow grey.
Tinted windows, & either JDM tails or darkend USDM tails.
possibly some kind of rain-proof vent on the hood, over the turbo/exhaust

I like this topic. I have been thinking about this topic forever and I still haven't decided. Most extreme outside would be stock w/custom lip or Greddy nose, bomex side skirts or custom, stock or custom wing, custom rear tail lights (do a slightly deeper than flush mount 4 circular tail lights in red/red with white center kinda suedo Corvette, maybe separate back up lights), paint the whole car a nice glossy black (basically get my car painted). Carbon fiber hood with a reverse vent a little behind the radiator, also funtional vents just behind the front wheels to get heat out of the engine bay and improve areodynamics. Tein Flex coilovers w/EDFC. SSR Comp. wheels 18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear. Goodyear GS-D3 tires. Custom BBK all four wheels.

Most extreme interior I'd do is replace all the plastic that is supposed to look kinda like leather with dark charcoal grey leather (trunk pieces can stay plastic, but will be painted to match, do seats the same w/secondary color either the stock light tan or a grey (secondary color maybe cloth). Carbon fiber dash. Roof cloth to leather in dark char grey. Carpet dark char grey or grey or stock tan color. Nice new floor mats custom. All accents in stock light tan or grey. Technique detach sport wheel in black and grey.

And if I had crazy cash, have the entire frame of the car remade lighter and stronger, not quite tube framed, but close.
