idle problems

i did my head gasket got the head rebuilt by a local machine shop i got everything put back together and now when i start it im idleing hi and i have a slight miss ive rechecked the timing marks and there on when i turn the distributor to set the time a 10deg i sit at about 2-2500rpms and when i drive it it loses power afte r 3500rpm and shakes any suggestions would help im going nuts

I had a similar problem after a rebuild(sortof), I checked through everything in the TSRM until all that was left was the timing belt. And what had happened was that it slipped a tooth on one of the gears, so my car didn't run very well at all. I tried the timing light thing and got the distributor lined up on 10deg etc. but ran worse there, hehe.

yes i did rotate by hand 4x i thought i might be off a tooth too and how exactly do i pull codes first supra and no check engine light

Check your timing, and also make sure your TPS(throttle position sensor) is correctly adjusted.
