Does anyone else have a problem getting their idle right after having the battery disconnected for a while? My car's done this before in the past and it's proving especially difficult to get it reset this time for some reason...I can get it to idle in the 700-800 sweetspot consistently.

that happens to me too. all you have to do is just let it idle for a bit. reason why it doesit is cuz you reseted the EFI. its like removing the EFI fuse while the car is still running. i sometimes driveit around then in no timeits fine again.

It's going back to base maps. The ECU can compensate when things aren't ideal (like if the car isn't in the ideal environment, or some stuff is out of spec), but when it goes back to base it has to relearn.

If you have an especially dirty throttle body the iac tries to compensate by running more air in.If you disconnect the battery the ecu doesn't know your tbody is dirty so its running the iac as if the car just rolled off the line.
Cool. I figured it was just the ECU goin back to the factory map, I was just wondering if it's as drastic for everyone else as it is for my car. I've never been able to just drive it around and have it fix itself; I've always had to adjust it some. Man...wish disconnecting the battery could reverse the effects of 211k miles :biglaugh:
