"Break in" and Heat cycling a HG before a retorque are two totally different things....

Ok well i just kinda figured that was the whole point of the heat cycling.

you sure you have the cps in right? it's a little tricky to get lined up right if you haven't done it before.

do you have a timing light?

and no sst required- use a paper clip or piece of wire to jumper E1 and Te1 in the diagnostic block under the hood.

Id hope its in right, a guy from Nolden Motorsports came over and helped me
with the engine, he took it apart and lined it up or whatever im not sure, but he definetly knew what he was doing, ive seen 1jz''s and 2jz's swaps hes done and a bunch of other crap so he has to know what hes doing.

And as far as timing its fine i believe.

He finished my car but left for vegas about a week ago for a photo shoot
with some car they built, so it would be kinda hard to ask him over the phone.

Alright ill go check that right now.

Only code it gave me was code 51.

"No IDL Signal, No NSW Signal
or A/C Signal to ECU"

Idk what IDL or NSW is, and i took my A/C out.

that is the tps sensor. the tps will trigger the IDL switch letting the ecu know when the throttle plate is closed. if you don't have the tps set right it will not trigger the switch.

if you touch the gas pedal or have the a/c turned on it will cause this code as well.

sounds like you need to adjust the tps.

also, you cannot adjust timing when this code is present.

Ok, im looking around right now but how do i adjust the TPS?

EDIT: Hmm yea i found some articles on it and it looks a bit too complicated for me...
im just going to order a used tps from someone on here.

You think this has alot to do with my idle problem and boost problem?

look it up in the tsrm, there is a step by step in there. Id take the TB off the car, makes it a bit easier.

Either way even if i had the tools i have no clue what all that
stuff means...

Whats the chances of it being my idle and boost problem?

you need to do a little bit of research and stop being scared by things you don't know. Setting the TPS is extremely easy, you need a feeler gauge and voltmeter. Then, use this:http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=101

Your problem does sound like the ISC valve. Verify its operation as per the TSRM (a few pages after the TPS check in the manual).

Also, you cannot "eyeball" timing. You either set it using a timing light, or you haven't set it.

Ok so alot of stuff changed and heres the latest...

Found a silicone hose melted by my turbo so i took it off and
replaced it, tightened up some more clamps around the area.

The car is still really hard to start, usually takes about 3-4 cranks.
and it still fluctuates a little bit.

But now the car boosts fine and sounds wayyyy better.
When i get home and let the car sit because i just boosted
the idle is fine, i let it sit for a good 10mins and the idle stayed at 900
the whole time...

So now my only real problem is starting it up and why it takes so long
and so many cranks...?

900 rpms is not the corret idle. maybe if you set your tps the ecu would activate the ISC. just a thought...

also you cant set timing correctly with the tps our of adjustment and a high idle. stop boosting the stupid car and fix it! take it to a shop and spend the $100 to let them set it for you if you must.

Well its not like im just going out and boosting for fun, im trying
to fix things and ive accomplished alot while doing that, and i know 900rpms
isnt the correct idle but that fixable since its actually steady at 900.

Are most shops trustable on a job like setting the correct timing?
Also while ordering a filter from a guy on here he threw in the ISC for an
extra $5 so ill replace it when it gets in and that will elimate the option
of a bad ISC.

And if that doesnt work than ill just take it to a shop i reckon....

i bet you have a vacuum line off somewhere causing a leak after the maf.
Im not saying its not possible but ive check just about every single hose and ive got a clamp on just about all of them also.
Ive listened for hissing and dont hear any either...

it sounds like your problem is your tps.. get it adjusted.. just follow the tsrm link given you already.. and i bet your air bypass screw was adjusted out to compensate for the improper tps adjustment so that it "idles". Fyi that screw is supposed to be all the way shut from factory... :) if y ou honestly cant do it.. just take it to a shop.. they know what the are doing... MANY cars have tps's that need adjustment.. so it shouldnt be new to a good shop if thats what you are afraid of.. after your tps is adjusted... set your timing properly.
