Identify strut brace

Can anyone tell me what make this strut brace is and where I can get it from? Can't find a store that sells it or a similar one anywhere

I saw that too, and ignoring the obvious poke there, I'll just say that all engines will want to twist when revved. Just part of how a forged steel crank (any crank for that matter) reacts. Unless your mounts were in terrible shape, why would you need that brace?

in high power builds the brace helps takes the tension off the mounts to avoid breaking one and having the engine do a 180

My 1j is so smooth the engine barely moves when you rev it.

that torque damper was not added, Cusco offered it as an option. AFAIK, those are no longer made.

Cool option as well. Could help the life of some rubber motor mounts. Might actually make the strut bar useful on the mk3.

it would be much better if it didn't have hinges and instead had a tensioner in the center.. I'd probably buy one.

Id be down for a bolt in shock dampner without the strut bar.

I always wanted one just to take some stress off the mounts, but I never cared enough to fab one.. it would be easily enough though.

you'd just make mounting brackets using the TEMS isolator ring and swap hook as templates, and then couple that with a damper (Weapon R or preferably something better).

Ya or could prolly even use something like the master cylinder brace and switch it to the other side and fab up a mount real easy. Wouldnt be hard at all. But its not really needed and money could be used on other parts.

I used and reused the speed sensitive Toyota damper off my 7M

So, bolting top of engine to the strut towers is a good idea then? I'm just wondering how it would help much...
