Would would you consider, the ideal all-around sound system.
Im a fan of pioneer, so i would have pioneer deck. I would run either mb quarts or eclispe components for mids and highs. This is where it gets tricky, the subs. You can have two 8's,10's,12's or 15's.In this scenerio i feel the 15's would be over kill. One reason too heavy.Another the sub is big and "laggy" so if u listen to fast music with kick drum style bass your 15 inch woofer will be sluggish.
Me personally i like the bass of 12'driver,over 10'driver. i would choose 1 12 inch woofer. Propobly, a Resonant Engineering 12,even tho there customer service is fubar, there subs are top notch.A close second would be this small company Called audiocue, ive neverheard them, but them same like a well built sub (www.audiocue.com).* I tried to find there webpage, they may have went under*
To Power everything i would run a stout battery under the hood.I own a kinetik 1400, the pros love these battereys, and i love it too so i will stick with them(www.kinetikaudio.com).For the alternator i would run a 150+ amp alternator. For an amplifier, this is where it gets tricky. You can run 1 or 2 amps.Todays technology, they produce some real nice 5 channel amps.( 4 channel plus 1 sub channel).Or you can do the small 4 channel amp, along with a second class d amp.I would personally go with some Like this Hifonics amp(http://www.maxxsonics.com/hifonics/amps_zeus.html).
I would prolly run 1/0 guage with approprate fusing for the amp, and check the voltage with a multimeter under full volume to determine if i should add a capKiller( im just not a fan of capacitors). At this point if you need that extra tuning capability u can always buy a digital eq, but i would calling quites here. Most of the newer highend cd/dvd players have lots of options to play with.
So tell me what you have in mind.Discuss
