Ideal AFRs for boost only in WOT??

Ok so as some of you guys know I'm trying to finish up my tuning with maf-t BASIC. Well so far everything is looking good. My AFRs at idle and cruising is between 14.6-15.4, fluctuating at mostly 14.7. Under WOT I'm tuning my AFRs myself and have control under WOT with the maf-t.

Now when I'm just slowly going into boost, not WOT, my AFRs will be in the cruising AFR range. Im just wondering if it's normal to only have ideal AFRs for boost only under WOT.

I'm planning on redoing my base tune anyways because I set my fuel pressure to 41 psi with vacuum off, and I recently found out thar number is for 440 injectors. I have a denso FP, AFPR and 560s. So I'm looking to retune with a slightly lower FP.

So what AFRs do you guys see when your going into boost not in WOT or if you even do that at all.

Thanks

Your going to have a slight hole in your fuel map from where you just cant tune it. Because it isnt a complete stand alone. Im no expert on maft pro. But Im sure someone will run along this thread and help you out. If I find any threads thatll be of help, ill post them for you. Also, you can come into flashchat and some of the guys in there can help you sometimes.

I have a mapecu so I kinda fall in the same catagory.. When I start spooling my turbo and right before I kick into boost I fall into the 12's for AFR at a slow pace and with the gaps between rpm's it will fluctuate a tad until show she stays in a good low 12 to 11 range.. I rather be a tad rich to be safe then lean and blow something up!! But not also pig rich to foul plugs or wash some rings out

OP: What you're seeing is normal for a piggyback because the TCCS still controls closed loop operation and decides when to switch in to open loop. The TCCS will allow you to boost as much as 5 psi (maybe higher) before switching to open loop. This is the what it's programmed to do.

A prime example of this is when the cruise is set and you start climbing a hill. Boost will increase because of the load; but, the TCCS will not switch to open loop. So, here you are pulling a hill at 70 mph, afr's at ~14.7, and boost at 4 psi.

If you want to pee your pants, add an EGT gauge to that scenario.

AFR Info:
11.5 - Max Torque Mixture
12.0 - Max Horsepower Mixture

My advice is to stay below 11.5 at WOT.

I would set FP back to stock and then only adjust it if it's needed.

Chasing a misfire can be a pain. Good luck with that one! ;)

Yes u plan on doing that! And I'm not excited to find the misfire... Lol I have new plugs so I know it's not that.

Maybe it's to much FP causing a rich misfire? Idk I read something like that somewhere...

But thanks!
