I have the small HKS frontmount, but not the pipes. Right now, there are some stock pipes and some completely random metal pipes somehow holding it all together. I probably have a gigantic boost leak. Are there an aftermarket kits to solve my problem or do I have to have them custom made? Remember I'm on a budget.

Best bet (and probably the cheapest way) would be to get two universal ic kits to make it fit. This of course is assuming that the HKS intercooler is not setup like the stock one. If it's like the stocker, any kit for the supra should work. HKS may make an intercooler piping kit with having to buy thier ic, but IDK on that part.

Thats what I was thinking too. Why would I need to get two universal kits though?? The intercooler isnt setup the same as stock. The outlet is on top of the intercooler.

Here is the piping installed with the turbo xs bov pipe that he is also selling. I know the engine bay looks like ass, but the piping looks good...............:biglaugh:

The reason I said two kits from ebay is because I don't think one of thier kits would be enough for the entire car.

Jay: I was wondering where you got your kit from, now I know, lol. How hard was it making the universal fit in between the fender? Did you have the piping enlarged at the throttle body too?

One kit was enough. I already had the bottom done and didn't want to fool with changing it, but I would have had enough. The piping is 2.5" all the way to the throttlebody. You have to get a 2.75 to 2.5 reducer coupling (www.driftmotion.com) . It took me probably two hours to do all of the upper piping from throttle body to intercooler. I took my bumper off. I don't know how you could do it without taking the bumper off. It's real simple to remove though. As far as difficulty goes, I'd give it a 6/10. 10 being a pain in the ass and one being popping your hood...........................lol

Thanks TTL, I have alot to do in my engine bay, but I'm contiplating a 1jz swap right now..................:naughty:

Lol, Mike's car got you wanting a 1J too huh? When he pulled up at the meet and popped his hood I about creamed myself, jk ;).

Mike's (too_stand) car is a really clean example of a 1J swap. Too bad he bought the car like that already though... Lucky bastard...

compare what ebay kits offer vs what a drftmotion kit has, easy as that. We know the driftmotion kit will work, so if ebay has at least that many pipes (with the same amount of bends) then there shouldn't be a problem. Bad part is that ebay kits silicon hoses suck, not the mention the worm clamps.

^? If your talking about suprahero's setup, then yes, his intercooler has the inlet and outlets on the same side. Too_stand's ic has them on opposite sides. If you are keeping the stock intake manifold then your best bet would be to get an intercooler with inlet and outlets on the same side. I wouldn't bother with going over a 2.5" diameter piping though. If you need larger than that, then you'll need a ffim too, along with the right intercooler.

the outlet/inlet of my ic that goes to the turbo is on the topside of the ic. thats another good 2 ft of piping that I'd have to have to make up for the stock setup.....i think. the parts the cheap ebay kits dont offer are the two u-shaped bends. for those of you who used the driftmotion or ebay kits, did you need or not need these bends. if you did use them, where were they?

I think I used it where it goes into the whole by the air filter. You cannot beat the t-bolt clamps that you get with the driftmotion kit though. I will never ever under any circumstances use anything other than these clamps and silicone couplings...................It's your decision, but the choice is easy.
