So I got thinking, (got a new job so I haven't had much time to work on the ol girl), I have my iac ran into a breather pulling fresh air from the atmosphere. Seeing as its un metered air, when I am still running the lex afm setup, would that cause my poor idle, and make it run rough? Just trying to pick your brains. Idk where else to look.

Any kind of unmetered air is bad, it will cause a rough idle (happened to me when it didnt have a clamp and fell off)
I thought so, but I figured I'd check with you guys. Thanks jetjock an novadude. I've been fighting a timing issue that probably wasn't timing.. :/ all cuz I couldn't get it to idle.
You bet. The 7M TCCS is an outgrowth of the Bosch L-Jetronic system. Toyota calls it L Type EFI. L is for "luft", the German word for air. Means the system measures airflow rather than manifold pressure and for things to work right all of it must be accounted for.
That explains why this particular engine/EFI setup is so finicky. If only I could learn half of what you will forget... I'd b set for life for sure.

The only way you can run the iacv like you had it is with a piggy back or stand alone. Piggy back meaning runnung speed density or the likes.
