Hey guys
So my tensioner pulley on my 1jzgte died yesterday for no reason. Its all melted (pics later). I was really looking forward to going drag racing tomorrow so I want to fix my car right now. I went all over town looking for the pulley but nobody sold it. apparently the pulley only comes with the whole tensioner which is like $160!!! I don't want to spend that much for a stupid plastic pulley. So here's the deal, $5 up for grabs if you can find me a pulley that will fit and I can pick up at a parts store. or pm me if you have one you can sell me because lets be honest I probably cant fix it today.

Thanks everyone.

OK:
You could replace the center bearing with a 6203-V229 but why?
You could buy the whole tensioner but why?

Step 1: Find a parts expert who is not a moron.

Step 2: Find this person at your local Napa or whatever brand store.

Step 3: Bring your pulley as a sample. Do not tell them the year/make/model as it doesn't matter.

Step 4: Measure your old pulley.

It should be 6 rib belt width 30 mm, smooth on the outside + 100 mm tall (4 in) and have a center hole of 17mm (0.67 in)
If this is true, then get them to sell you a pulley by dimension.
I have already looked for you.
Go to page 19 of this http://www.daycoproducts.com/daycoweb.nsf/DaycoAutomotiveTensionersandPulleys.pdf
Look at #89055. Who cares what car it is for.
If they don't sell Dayco then get them to cross the number to Gates or other brand.
If they can't do this, then shop elsewhere.

I wil take my paypal at supra.a70@gmail.com

Thanks some great info here but not what I need. I need some to say par numbe xxxx will work. I cannot measure the old pulley because it is sheared in half then melted then half of it dissappeared and the bearing is all bent up and my car is 80 miles away. So thanks but I really need something more specific.

That Gates 36100 is a ribbed pulley like the s2000 so that's probably for the Ac and Ps delete. I found that Gates 38002 is exactly the same as Dayco 89055.

Wow. What some people will do for 5 bucks.

The whole 5 dollars thing was just because half the time that I see another "1jz rough idle" or "help me, car wont start" threads I just skip over them, even though I may be able to help. I feel bad saying that but I'm sure alot of people do that. So I made my title something people would click on.
