the bore is the same and it uses the same crank, just wondering because my 6m is wearing out and I cant find any parts for it.

Cranks and rods aren't wear components...yours should be fine aslong as it isn't rodknocked!
A simple crank polish and new bearings is usually all you need!

Not really....the early 7m had a 6m crank so a 7m crank will also work!
It was only after 89 that the 7m got it's own crank that was fully counter balanced.
I was wondering where to find piston rings for the 6m, I know the 5m can rev higher than the 6m but I like the torq the 6m puts out. my friends auto supra with a built tranny cant even keep up from the launch. But yeah the way things are looking I am going to have to start looking for a 5m. its got a bad valve tick.
