i want to buy a bolt on turbo, but i don't know what to buy?????

i'm goin crazy. i'm looking for a bolt on turbo kit rated at like 400-500hp.
i don't really want to spend more than like 1500, but i can't make a decision!!!
what do you guys recommend? it's sucha big decision and i have no idea what i should get?!?!? INPUT NEEDED!!!

Any turbo made by: Garrett, Turbonetics, Precision, HKS, etc. No "Master Power, or T6x special ebay units.

How about upgrade your ct to a 57 trim? Should be low 400s with supporting mods.

Mike turbo has some pretty good deals too . He uses the entire garrett cartridge 60-1 so relibility should be better then your typical ungraded ct .

I think the boss turbo is the only one that has been over 500 though.

60-1 is very difficult to make 450rwhp. For $1500 you should get a Boss bolt on turbo with installation kit from Suprastore for less than $1600.

well, IJ, what do you recommend that i buy?

The JT series turbo's that Jeff T sells uses the same rear housing as the boss turbo's. SP also redesigned their bolt on housing for the SP61 (make a SP58 also) - I haven't read/heard much feedback on that though. I had talked with Tim about trying it, but never got around to it (bought something else instead).

There is also the trusty Greedy td06 which has made decent power (Figgie, Duane, Grant (oneandgone), are the first that come to mine - I know I'm forgetting others) on the 7m.

What ever you do, check your manifold for cracks first. Nothing like spending money on a new turbo to have your manifold leak (and sound like shit).
