3-wire MAP sensors are basically the same...You can use a GM 3-bar MAP sensor with an HKS-FCON. Probably would work fine on a 1J too...lol. And yea, it seems like the 1J ECU's leaky capacitor issues are rather common, might want to check that out.

it's not hard to check, it's just 3 wires from the ecu to the map basically.


check as in... check the wires out with a multimeter???

how can you check to see if you have a leaking cap??? i've looked at my ecu and i've found none.. unless its easily mistaken.

yeah, get the 1jz efi wiring diagram and check continuity of the 3 map sensor wires using your multimeter set to ohms.

ok i checkd and im getting .03 on all three wires... and a long annoying beep... so i know continuity is good and so are the wires.... so im guessing its the map like joe said...
