I think im finally close to done

just have to button up a few more things, and get the caps in my ecu replaced and i think ill be good to go. does anyone on here know how to interpret a cam card? as in what i need to set the cams at on the cam gears. well heres a pic, and hopefully ill have video of it idling and running within the next few days

if only i had a fan shroud, last one got torn up by the fan blade (lil crooked)

as in done, i mean for now, to where i can drive it again, im probably gonna do more fuel and other stuff down the road tho, but im tired of not being able to drive it

You're a better man than I! I start getting cranky and irritable if I go without driving my car for only a few days!

i think im beyond withdrawal, i learned patience from back in my 7M days, that thing would run the same from day to day.

im sure ill get the same way as you joe, once i start driving it every day.

werd you just get used to it after a while... i know i did.. I think i put 6k miles on my 1j when i had it and 5k miles on my 2j when I had it.. in the past 3 years

Looking good sir. What turbo are you running, or trying to run as the case may be?

I tried degreeing my cams with it in the car and I couldn't make it run. I ended up tuning them on the dyno, but I'm still not sure I have them the best they can be. Good luck with yours.

its a 60-1 for now, but im gonna be taking it to majestic turbo soon to put a 67mm wheel in it

i actually got the cams from a local friend (HamsMKIII), theyre his old crowers, he wrote down what they need to be degreed at, he just has to find the cam card.

ps - in my previous post, i meant to say my 7M wouldnt run the same from day to day, hence why i swapped the 1J into it

What ECU are you using? I've got some spare Aristo ones, if you need to borrow, while sending your in for repair.

its a mines vx-rom, if they would work id def be interested, but i doubt they will. hopefully i can get the capacitor soon, Ron said hed solder it up for me

I talked to Ron on the phone yesterday, Im looking forward to meeting some of you Texas guys. I met Ron as we were packing up in Vegas, right after the Show and shine, He just happened to be in town for fun, he seems like a great guy. Sounds like you guys have a pretty deep Texas club.

Do you plan on attending any of those infamous Track events once its rolling?

ive never been to it yet, but i know tons of guys that have, and they love the place. i might try racing on it, but im not sure on it yet, never road raced before. if you can make it out here to tx some time, let us know and we can make a meet of it.

and ill def take tons of vids of any of the meets/racing we do.
