im not that sure how compression ratio works. i have a lil bit of an idle how it works, any way i was at a car show last night in Newport news,va and started talking to some honda kids(mind you i have a crx but and not honda kid, toyota and ford baby). i asked it any on had a motor that they where getting ride of, this one guy said yes. so i go and look at it he said it was an b16 ls bottom end with a gsr head. i started asking some things about the motor and one of them was what the compression ratio was, he said 10 to 2 compression ratio. has any one ever heard of such a thing 10 to 2? my bs flag was raised but just wanna make sure im in the right for raising it.

yea that what i figgured it to be 5 to 1. you could boost the shit out of that but you would go anywhere till you hit boost. and sorry i just seen i put got i should have put was for the title.

but if anything, find out the head he has on it, and found out what pistons, and the block. there are tons of compression ratio calculators specifically for hondas...

stock bottom end on a b18b i think it is(what ever the LS block is) and the b18c head(gsr head with the vtech). i think he had some muffler bearings too.

B-series is a waste of money anyways unless your car already had one in it when it was made. K-series is the shit.

b series motors are fantastic engines!!!

super supra dave....stay away from frankenmotors....they are doable but they have many issues! frankenmotor= motor with different head.

I didn't say they weren't. I said I would rater put out the money for a K-series if I had o do a swap.

CFT has this red civic hatch with a B18something turbo that they run down here at Orlando Speedworld and oh my god. The turbo is, no joke, as big as the motor. Last time I saw it I didn't build boost till the 330' and it ran a 10.2@158. It was ridiculous.

Reminds me of the first time I saw a rotary powered RX7 engine bay. Alternator is about 2/3 the size of the motor lol

the rotarys are insane. so tiny and crank out the HP. the stats on a 20B is what 1.3L with 280hp. thats awesome. to bad those things guzzle the gas and are as reliable as
7m's
