What part of va are you in? I have a set of 4 rims and centercaps I was in the process of polishing and ran across rims I really liked.
Edit: Mine are 5 stars off a 91 turbo mk3
If you are close by you can check em out.

ok here the answer to the OP.
5 spokes started in 90 on the white package only
91-92 got them on all cars.
they are 16x7, same as sawblades but alot nicer.
the mk4 has 2 variants. the NA models are 16 in and the TTs are 17. The mk4s are wider also.

guys maybe take it to pm.... this was a thread about when they came out, not f/s or wtb.

that said pricing of 400-600 is the norm depending on condition of tires, rims, and if the center caps come.

the MKIII 5 spokes are actually about 7lbs lighter per wheel than sawblades too.

MKIV N/A are 16x8 (F), and 16x9 (R), MKIV TT are 17x8 (F) and 17x9.5(R).

You'll also notice the MKIV 5 spokes have a raised section in the center of the spoke, where as the MKIII spokes are flat.

I have a set of MKIII 5 spokes, but I'm saving them for drag wheels :)
