I predict in two weeks time i will be caught sitting in my supra with my 5spd under the car and the shifter jacked up into the tranny hole pretending to shift and making boost sounds..

(ive got rod knock, and im auto)
FUll 5spd swap and rebuilt motor :)

anyone ever been caught doing this? One of the local supra owners has beeen without a supra for a few months now and hes always making turbo noises

I think everybody does it.

When I went through my turbo swap I would sit in the Supra and pretend to be driving it while all 4 corners were up on jackstands.

I had dreams about driving months before it was finished.

my car has rod knock, and i havent even parked it yet and already im starting to miss boosting through onramps at 90mph :biglaugh: :naughty: .. i can tell this is going to be a very very long ... rebuild

i have dreams about supra related things too! Like i have dreams where ill be working on a problem that im having in Real Life w/ the car and soemhow i come up with the solution while in the dream, ill wakeup and go fix it and wont sleep until its done. supras' haunt my dreams, but its ok

you have any idea how expensive that is lol? Certainly not worth it when ive got a perfect condition 5spd tranny and ACT Spec clutch sitting in my garage, along with a full 5spd swap parts car sitting outside in my driveway. Going to swap over ECU harness and all 5spd stuff :)

aaaa hahahaha.
I used to do that when I drove the s10 at my old job. Made the little 2.2 a bit more tolerable, and not just a noisy piece of shit.

it's just not the same when you can't go through the gears....the sense of fulfillment isn't there, it's like eating a pizza with no cheese.

then there's the looks you get a work when you make the vrooom psh vrooooom psh noises....and they really wonder what's going on when you say "damn i missed it". The boss keeps asking me when I'm going to start driving it, probably so she doesn't have to listen to me anymore :D
