seriously, I am getting ready to buy that 60 Gig I-Pod, and I just dont know if I want to commit.

I heard that you can only down load vidoe clips from I-POD/ ITUNES ""only "" is that the case guys ? if so, i think thats kind of a rip .... but I heard that people have figured out how to get around that .. anyone know about that ? etc ...

I got alot of small porn clips on my H/D, that I would like to tansfer of to the I-pod , if I were to get one ..

IJ , what is that all about, ?

So it is true that IPOD has it so you can only download ITUNES video clips, not whole video's ?

what does that freeware converter do ?

also, how is the volume ? I heard mixed reviews, , but I do realize that if you download a crappy version of a song, thats how you'll hear it on the ipod .. is it very loud ? and I also heard that it scratches easily, so a case is a must ?

thanks man

Will: To answer the volume question I HATE the earbuds so dug out an old good quality headset I have and plugged that in and it was pretty good just not real loud.

Then I noticed the headset has a volume control on the cord so I turned that up and yep the IPod's loud enough for me ;)!

I loaded a heap of my car vids and a few music vids on it and like wow I'm using a whole 11GB out of 60!

Aux Port w/ RCA > Mini RCA converter cord and a 80GB laptop sititng in the passengers lap.

They can play games watch movies or listen to music while riding along and experience 6 speaker sound :biglaugh: who needs an ipod hehe..

only pita is changing songs while driving w/out a passenger..kinda have to park the car and change up your songs list then start driving again.

I've used my LapTop in the car while tuning and there's no way known I'd want one in the car for anything else they're a hinderence at best and dangerous at worst.

Put the thing in its case sleeve at all times when not needed to be. It wont be so shiny if you dont.
That is all.

Yep. I only have a 20GB non video and it didnt come with a sleeve like the videos do. Needless to say, its not a mirror anymore. Bought myself a cover.. too late though. :nono:

Sorry to bring this thread back from the grave...but, I was wondering what everyone uses to interface their iPod with their car stereo. I have used the cassette adapter, but it sucks, and my Sony head unit doesn;t have a cassette player, I also have a C-Crane FM transmitter, but it's kinda crappy as well... Is there any way i can directly connect it?

Also, I have had my 1st generation 5GB iPod (non-video) for about 5 years now, and it has been great...it has a couple little glitches every now and then, but it still works fine! Apple products rock! The Power Mac G3 I am using right now to type this is almost 10 years old, and it never gets turned off...talk about reliability.

iTrip is a little glitchy, but works good. I dont know if they work for the first generations though.

Some head units have an mp3 hook up. My brother has that and it works good.
