I'm on a really low budget and would love to have some nice big chrome rims that would really bring out the luster of my new paint. But... again... no money. So I've seen that some people paint them... which is what I was going to do at first, but now I see that some people strip the paint off and polish them... is that right? It doesn't look like the rims would be able to polish up... but maybe I'm wrong. Do they sand them down or use that aircraft grade paint remover crap? So basically I'd like to know about the process that you have to follow to get these sawblades as shiny as possible. Thanks

he might mess up his stripe:)
how the stripe is on the top, tires are on the side..
In all seriousness sawblades look like shite chromed or polished IMO. I would paint them gun metal or black.

I think 92turbo4life has the 1992 chrome rims. They appear like mk4 NA rims correct?

Also, the aluminum can be pollished. If you want to get messy, try some of these to cut the aluminum so you can go to a pollishing compound...

-Baking soda and water paste. Be careful it cuts very fast, but is kinda messy. Good news is that its biodegradble.
-SemiChrome pollish. Made in Germany, kinda expensive. WORKS THE BEST.
Cuts very fast also.
