i need info on some things???

ok. so iam wondering witch motor is better 1jz 2.5L or 7m 3.0? i know the 1j is real popular cause of the 2j's making 1000+ HP but wouldnt the 7m be better cause of displacement. i know these are pretty rev happy motors-7m and are stong when maintained.

here's the thing.iam gonna sell my 89 probe turbo and save up 4000-6000$$ grand and buy a already built car from here in the forsale area but i dont know what motor i want?

i got big plans for the car i buy. my probe can handle 24lbs stock block with t4 and a tune and proven on probetalk. but i want a REAL beast:evil2:. not a little toy:nono:.ya know what i mean peeps:biglaugh:

any info will be helpful cause i cant find no info when i search.just a bunch of crap pops up.

from what i was told all jz internals are basicly bullet proof. i'm not saying that the 7m's aren't but they the jz's are more commonly know for big numbers. i know of a few people that build up thei 7m's and are putting up big numbers in both boost and hp. but with everything comes a price. i know that there is more of an aftermarket following for all jz's and 7m's are more of an unsung hero's of the supra world. so the real question is how much are you willing to pay for it. if money is not an issue ( which i wish was the case for me) then i would personally say to go with the 7m and get it build up right. but others would disagree. but then again i'm more into the sleeper look. i like to open the hood and people not have any idea what i'm capable of. but like i said both are capable of big numbers and it all goes to the pocket book and trying to find parts.

Do some searching and find out what you really want. You should be able to find/buy a beast with $4k-6k.

If you want big power, go with a 1.5jz or something... or just go 1jz... i just wouldnt want to spend all sorts of money, hope for some huge numbers, and then be let down... not to mention there are MUCH easier options for the 1jz...

2j cams add hella power, single turbo adds plenty of power if you go that way, or you can get upgraded stockers... it all comes down to how much money you wanna spend. and how much time you want to invest into a project...

but be careful buying some elses "built car"... unless you've personally been there to help build it, i just couldnt ever buy somebody elses project... theres always some weird shit that happens.

wow people actually replied. iam buying a beast from here in around may june or july.one of them.lol i cant wait. iam tired of peole saying. "YOU DRIVE AN ANAL PROBE" and i say wanna race.lol i may have a 1989 probe gt with satock turbo.peewewee IHI vj11 at 16.5lbs and pulls like a mofo.gutted and all.but iam gonna sell it to the guys on probetalk.com.lol screw single cam 3v per cyl 4BANGERS.:3d_frown:

and right now iam even with my friends dodge stealth awd TT during a race and hes pushing some lbs of boost too. but.iam gonna sell the car come "may" and get the mk3 and then show up at the saturday meet.and ill make everyone hide and cry.lol:bigun2:
