I need a starter for a 1jz!!!!!!!!!

Its the same as any 2JZ or 7M starter. You can find them on eBay all the time. Just look around, put a little effort into finding what you need instead of just asking us.

They are not all the same. The 7m ones dont all work, i have gone through buying them, trying and then returning. They are designed differently. I posted pix of mine after being rebuilt. Some 2j do work.werewolves182;1002492 said:

I am just saying that all 7m ones dont work. Some do and some dont. I purchased 2 different ones that were from 7m's and they didnt bolt up. They were completely different. I finally had to have mine rebuilt instead of finding one. It was about the same price and only took 8 hours.werewolves182;1003691 said:

Oh I gotcha, may bad I didn't get exactly what you were saying. Thats weird some work and other don't. Any idea what the differences are? I know the 91-92 started are threaded on the starter where as previous models you had to use a nut but thats the only difference I know of.

U got it! I forgot the difference too. It has been 6 months since i did mine, but yeah, my 1j starter is threaded and the ones i bought from napa weren't. Also how it connected to the flywheel was different.werewolves182;1003750 said:
