As stated. Keep the annoying buzzing thingy(whatever it may be) across the room. Works like a charm. Or sometimes when im excited to get up I put it nx to me for instant wake up action!

Almost any alarm clock will work, you just have to turn the volume up so when it goes off it will wake the neighbors and the neighbors will in turn wake you up.

The one I currently have is an Emerson Research. The neat feature it has is that its got a small battery that keeps the clocks memory going after a power outage so that when the power comes back on, it will reset the time automatically.

i just double up my alarms. i have a quieter alarm set for 5 am and an annoying phone ring tone for 5:05 in case i hit the snooze button.

that has worked for me, and i usually sleep as deeply as you seem to.

if that dosnt work, pay me to hit you with a blown head gasket when you need to get up... :biglaugh:
ROFL... i actually have 2 alarm clock that go off at the same time.. still won't wake me up

you just need a loud alarm clock. and you need to put it on the other side of the room. if you put it near your bed, youll just knock it over and go back to sleep like i do. but if its on the other side of the room you have to physically get up and go turn it off.

This started failing for me when I started walking across the room, hitting the snooze then falling back in bed again anyway...
o, btw, my alarms are no where near me, there are two... there is no need to hit snooze, i don't even hear em for 3 or more hours sometimes... i think one of em turns off after an hour, the other goes off for about 3 hours, and i've slept completely through em before :-/

I have mine set for radio to gently wake me up, then in 10min the alarm goes off and it's a gradual beep, starts off slow, then gets really loud...
usually i wake up when it's really really loud, and fall back asleep

I do agree though, vibrating noises wakes me up.
I have my phone charger on my headboard, and I never ever hesitate to answer that when it rings, no matter what the time.

The best alarm I ever had was a piece of freeware off of download.com called the Banshee Screamer. I guess its usefullness is dependent on where your computer is located but it is LOUD! If waking up is super important then I guess you could make it work with some really long speaker wire.

I do what I have to do to pay the bills. By the time the second one goes off 10 mins later I am already mad so I just get up kill the third one anyways..

edit: Luckily, I am self employed so I get to wake up naturally unless I have early appointments to keep.
