Yea the last MK3 was 92 wasn't it? After that it was the MK4 from 93 or 94 til 98 I think.Nick M;1861548 said:You know they were out of production for two years by then, right? Jan 86 is when they were new. Not 1995.
Good to know, and welcome to the forum!beachmaster;1861231 said:As a 45-year-old who fell in love with the MKIII as a senior in high school in '86 and just bought his 2nd '89 Supra last week, let me say YES, you will!
Glad to see I'm not the only one who does that.MNBmk3T;1861502 said:Though people tell me to sell it as any money just goes into my car, I will never do so. I daily drive my supra because I love it and because everytime I have a bad day at school or work I take the long way home and everything goes away. Nothing else I know is able to do this to me.
Hey man, everyone falls in love with these things once. Or, well at least everyone on here.jetjock;1861543 said:Crack me up...

I am the exact same way, the few times I drove the MK3 to school before I tore it down the last two times I drove it I had a shitty day at school but when I was walking up to the car, the sun shining on the hood and the pearl white glistening just made my anger melt away then driving it made me smile.MNBmk3T;1861502 said:Though people tell me to sell it as any money just goes into my car, I will never do so. I see what you mean, but I still regret selling my first one, finding them in that kind of shape for decent money (I paid $1000 for it) is hard to do these days... I think hindsight is a close friend of karma haha.jetjock;1861743 said:Yea, I know. Just the idealism of youth is funny to behold. Huh? I daily drove mine for well over 20 years. Ran like a watch right up until the day I crushed it. Didn't require a whole lot of maintenance either. Course, having control of it since day one helped.
I've been using mine (the 88, the 84, and the 89 I now drive) as daily drivers since late 2005, my total time driving something OTHER than a Supra is probably about a year total, spread over different chunks of time when the Supra did need some work.mjsn1;1861777 said:Probably because most people think that it can be a daily driver. Its a 20 year old sports car, it cant be a daily driver, unless you have a lot of time on your hand and you dont go anywhere far. I think that owning a car like a mk3 is a hobby.
