Since my blower never worked, and I accidentally broke the heater core a few months back, I decided to just rip it all out and leave it out.
CONTRARY to popular belief :sarcasm: I can make it through winters without it. I did it in New York with my white '83, and Washington is a lot easier to deal with, despite the humidity. Defrost for me = cracking the windows
I never realized how heavy the stuff was until I started pulling it out. Stuffed it all into a box and weighed
I haven't weighed everything I've removed, but according to Deans website my car has lost around 81lbs (not including swapping from auto to manual)
no a/c (-40)
no heat (-23)
no power steering (-11)
no cruise control (-2)
no washer fluid tank (-5ish with fluid)
no EGR system (-7)
She should weigh around 2880 now. I will remove the backseat for races, which is another 40ish lbs. I'll find out an accurate weight someday
I am so happy with my Inferior" mk2 (aka CELICA)
heh
