I'm pretty sure it's made to be hard to work on so that you could just take it to the dealer and they could make money.

Ka sux.

And if anyone would put a fucking KA into an S30 chassis Z, needs to shot and hung.

Our british friend is completely correct. 150 HP out of a 2400 CC engine is just atrocious.

My 1.6 liter engine makes 112, It has 800CC's less displacement, and still makes about 2/3rds the power.

2/3's the displacement, 2/3's the power. Wow, what an insight.:sarcasm:

You're right about the Z, though. I'd rather keep it stock but if you're going to swap put something impressive in there.

Throw the NA 7m into that mix as well then. What are they 200hp out of a 3liter?

Point is, stock engines suck. I don't know why people would argue about that on a car forum. I mean this isn't consumer reports or anything like that.

240's are sweet, they're easy to build/make fun/crash into stuff/make fast. And there's tons of cheap, crappy parts out there for them, as well as a lot of better/more expensive ones. But they're also pretty boring, a lot of them end up being pretty similar.

I actually just watched that today, it was pretty neat.

L24s and L26s rev insanely fast!

I own one of each. A 90 240/Silvia (font end converted) with an SR and a 90 MKiii with a 7MGTE that is my DD. I drive the Nissan when I want to go fast. The point is I love both of my cars. The Supra looks mean but is rather heavy compared to the 240. The 240 is over done by everyone and his mother, but is very nimble. It all depends on what you want. I could not choose between the two. Although I am partial to the targa in the Sup. I just love cars period. As far as working on them the Nissan is waaaaaaay easier and all the bits and pieces are right there. And it is true I put my new Walbro fuel pump in the Nissan in about 30 minutes. I didn't have to drop the fuel tank or anything......... Either way I love them BOTH. The Sup will be as fast as the Nissan one day soon but since it is my DD I don't want to blow it up just yet. After I get another DD I will turn it up till I blow it up or spin a bearing or something then go 1JZ.............My wife thinks I'm nuts and that I don't need another car. I tell her that we have THREE sons so I need THREE cars for them to inherit.....................

Don't forget the L28............;)

I've actually never seen a stock L28 rev. I've seen them driving, but that's basically it. I didn't want to include it if it revs like a 7M

Dollar for dollar a MKIII with 7MGTE will rape a 240SX with an SR swap.

Not to mention how expensive 240's are getting because of the drifting craze...

It reminds me of a JZ motor. I have to shift pretty fast through the first 2 gears. ;)

Still, I would rather have a corolla/MR2, They feel 900X better than a 240sx to me. They just feel huge, while the corolla is mich more nimble feeling. The 240 is very numb.
