Rather a fan of the Greddy knob that came with my car. Wanna talk weighted? I dropped mine once, there were reports of minor earthquakes...

...not really, but it did chip out a nice chunk of concrete from the sidewalk. :p

Only problem, it's pretty much solid steel (other than the hole in the bottom to put on the shifter), so it tends to get rather cold, and occasionally kinda warm depending on the weather.

Oh my god, one of my old mk3's came with a metal knob. It was burning hot in the summer. So hot I couldn't shift without a glove or towel for the first few minutes of driving if it sat in the sun. Probably the least practical car mod I've ever experienced, lol.

Some of the name brand tuner knobs I've seen have definitely looked nice though.

I want one of these pretty bad, too bad they only make them in the shift pattern for Tundras and FJ Cruisers.

Probably going to grab a Hurst 5-speed knob for a 05+ Mustang (I think that will fit? Don't buy one yourself without research), I just wish it had the cool TRD stuff on it!

Roush makes their own which is top notch quality (and more expensive) but... it says Roush on it. Don't think I can deal with a Roush shift knob in my Toyota, weirds me out.

I liked the OEM knob too, but the cost of the TRD knob was far less than a new OEM knob. Plus, the TRD knob is weighted and makes shifting easier.
were you talking about the wrapped one?

I was gonna get this ARC knob back in the day... never got around to it (woulda been stolen with my '87 anyhow.. another $100 down the drain)

That lists for manual AND automatic transmissions. The automatic ones are cheaply made and where used on most Toyotas of that age.

what i did on my shifter is just get one for a honda cause there already threaded and there a dime a dozen, plus you have end less options. then you mic your shifter ( just the top inch ) find a die that uses that same diameter and the thread pitch of the honda shift nob. your options are endless.......

Haha, hence why I have tint in the last... all but one car I've kept? :p

Phoenix is hell on interiors. Oddly enough at the altitude I'm at now, it is just as bad, even thought the ambient temp is nowhere near as hot. Note to self: tint the Mk2's windows before summer.
