I hate fedex... (sorry, need to vent.)

What's the damn point?
I just moved into my house when it was done
being built, and the entire development is new.
I knew that FedEx wouldn't be able to find my
address... so what do I do? I call them a week
before the delivery and give them directions.
They don't listen to you... they just ignore them
and then I get an e-mail :

"Duuhhuh... we can't find this address... duhuh...we're fucking retarded..."



I'm about to just ask them to ship it to a UPS
store and have them take care of it. UPS found
us the first week we moved in, they're amazing.

fuck fedex...i mailed something important to my gf and i put W. Carmen meaning WEST CARMEN!!

they mailed it to Carmen street...now its lost forever and im still trying to get my money back of its worth.

They're still better than the usps. Their tracking consists of sent, the you wait and wait. If you ever get it then it is delivered. I only ship stuff UPS and haven't had a problem with them yet, plus at the UPS store there are a couple hot chicks. I don't mind that at all. Oh, and DHL sux to FYI.

yeah i am now switching to UPS from now on..fedex has proven to be fuckin unreliable...DHL...can suck my DIK. i havent used em, but my company does...dunno why, they get screwed over time and time again.

or when shipping something to canada, numerous times ive had things shipped via UPS and never paid any customs brokerage fees (duty) and i needed something important quickly from the states, had it shipped via fedex and it took 2 days longer then what i paid for (fedex 5 day ground) 5 business days is actually more like 10 days when you consider they dont move anything on the weekend and not the day you send it. after a painfully long wait, i finally recieve it 9:30 in the evening then a week after that i get a letter wanting me to pay 21 dollars in customs fees, WTF!@?? its supposed to be included in the shipping! not to mention the box was scratched to hell. i had my rims shipped via UPS, the boxes were in immaculate condition when they arrived and even still smelt like fresh cardboard, UPS is hands down a better shipper, they just seem to care about there jobs and service more...

I'm a cross country moutain bike racer, go to Monterey, Ca for a race every april, usualy ship my bikes UPS before i go cuz the damn airlines charge $100 PER bike each direction(and i usualy bring 3-4) I ship 4 bikes for $150 UPS, shipped them FedEx last year cuz it was $50 cheaper, they go there fine, shipped them back, got on my plane, arrived home, waited 2 weeks, 2 of 4 bikes showed up in perfect condition, next day one more comes messed up as hell, 4th one never came. And we're not talking $100 bikes from kmart, a full on race bike runs about 6k, and we're talking pedal mountain bike, fedex did about 2k in damage to the one and LOST my one $7,000 bike. AND THEN IT TOOK ME OVER 2 MONTHS TO GET MY INSURANCE CLAIM CHECK FROM THEM!!!!! I FUCKING HATE FEDEX!!!!! Any1 have any idea how long it takes to save up 7k on a bike mechanics pay? (well actualy about 3.5k cuz employee discounts kick ass)So technicaly I made money off this, but its the principal of the thing so I don't feel guilty taking a 9500 dollar check for stuff that cost me about 4000 to repair/replace, my time and agravation is worth $5500, plus the sentimental loss of a bike i've won races on. anyway, I'm done ranting, just saw this thread and stirred up feeling about fed ex

I almost always use USPS. Have most success with them. Yea they're tracking page is rather nebulous, but they're cheap, not dumb, and I've never had a package come back (well, once... that was my dumb ass fault). And yes Nate, DHL "blows goat nuts" if I remember correctly :rofl:

I had a laptop shipped to me via Fedex and it came with a busted ass screen, the package looked like it was hit with a mortar round, and they didnt even have someone sign for it, left it on my front porch,
so FEDEX BLOWS.

hence the reason i quit fedex and started with UPS, i couldn't deal with the angry customers. But to be honest, fedex overnight is awesome! The reason fedex ground sucks balls is because UPS's ground network is almost 15 times larger than fedex's. If anybody needs any help with any UPS stuff, ie. claims, reports, lost packages...drop me a pm and ill help ya out!

FYI, the family company that I used to work for still has a $30,000 dollar claim with fed ex for parts that they say THEY didn't loose.
