I just changed out my master and slave cylenders about a month ago and every thing has been working great but now the same damn clutch problems have returned( bad pedal pressure and poor pedal return) so i can only assume that one of the new parts have already gone bad :aigo:

I called the place and they said theyed have a replacement slave for me tommorow and said it would be a beck and arnley which is beter then what i had last time but yea there is no replacement for oem the toyota slave lasted 20 years before going bad lol

I'm only guessing its the slave but it could be the master i guess but there is no fluid leaking out of the master.

Yay for factory parts!!!

The factory brand (AISIN) cm and slave lasted for more than 15 years, IDK why you would buy something else. DM sells the AISIN brand if you don't want to buy from the dealer.

I dont like Advance too much either. Thy are more expensive for stock Supra parts and they NEVER have any of them in stock. I got got everything I needed to pass inspection at Napa.

I got every thing fixed today and the funny thing is the slave that went bad was made by Aisin I guess they don't build things like they use to because when i pulled it out of the tranny the boot was full of fluid

it was originally made by aisin. when you turn in your core the new company refurbishes it. So although it had the name on it, it was not built with aisin parts but by a different company. The only thing aisin on it now is the casing..

I've never heard of cores on slave cylinders, mine didn't have a core on it :dunno:

mine did @ o'reilly's but this was also 4 years ago or more... I havent had to buy one since so I wouldn't know if they still do it. But it also depends on which auto parts store you buy from. I remember napa didn't when I was pricing around for one.
