I am NOT racing anyone again until my car has a heathly dose of vitamin HP.
I got beat by two turbo civics tonight not by much but they still got me.

We started from about 60mph and as soon as we got to the top of third they would let off WTF I was getting pissed because they wouldn't go past 3rd and i know that's where i would pull back on them.

In the mean time i hang my head in shame. :cry: :cry: :cry:

i wouldnt, turbo civics can be quick little buggers. there is one around here that had about 500 WHP. he got rid of that turbo setup and is now shooting for 600-650 WHP. and to think he had traction problems with his old build.

No...in all honesty though, it's completely understandable to get beat by a boosted Honda....ESPECIALLY FROM A ROLL! (They don't have to worry about traction....all they need is their happy 1900lb fucking car and some boost.

All is well though...I'd whoop that cars ass now.


And FYI: 75% of people that boost Honda's end up getting no where because they don't bother to do the basics....so they still pertain to the 16 second Honda group. :rofl: But for the selected group of Honda owners that go boosted, they can be some nasty little monsters from a roll.

sure they're fast from a roll (Very fucking fast), but nothing special otherwise, traction owns both from a stop...

As has been stated over and over here, there is no shame losing to a turbo Honda. I have seen Integras on slicks with conservative setups running 12's and 11's. 200-300hp in one of those cars is INSANE from a roll, and devastating from a dig if they can grab the road.

Even with my new setup, I will be careful with bets against turbo civics. There is a local guy with a 93 hatch, gutted with a B18C1 (Integra GSR DOHC VTEC), and he aparently makes about 320hp. I may make 200 more hp than him, but he weights about 1500lbs less, and is geared VERY well. You do that math. Well built Hondas are FAST. Period.

Yeah I was going over the math last weekend and figured his little civic only need just over half the hp as me to beat me.

I got my MAFT pro on the way, then i need an exhaust,intercooler piping, and then I'm buying some 550's and the rest of my fuel upgrades. I'm stock except for my internals and intake.

The thing that really kind of gets me is I beat a 2.7t Audi A6 (I was pulling him but not super fast just about a foot a second. Then two days ago i talked to a guy with one and he said they put out 250hp stock and are about 200pounds lighter I don't think the intake alone would have given me that much would it?

yeah i wouldnt mess with turbo civics i got a buddy who owns one and its F@$kin INSANE. fourth gear burnouts and wheel spin till from a 60 roll till top of fourth its crazy and intake might do that letting an engine breath better results in some pretty good hp gains now do turbo elbow downpipe and a full exhaust and go meet that civic on the highway again!!!!!!!!!

I lost to a big single talon the other day... he ran a 11.77... with a 1.8 sixty foot; I ran a 13.8 with a 2.5 60 ft on 10 lbs of boost... He was running like 29 and full standalone...

you can't honestly say that about all honda drivers, can you? i mean, i'm not strictly a hondaboy, but i'm definately not like "my honda can beat your pos anyday..." that's like saying the same about mustang owners.

i will say that i've experienced the same thing with an old hatch not too long ago. i'm not a drag racer and haven't been since going turbo. i sat there spinning, and by the time i got to 3rd, he hits the flashers like it was over. i was like "what a weenie!" you'll get your chance to beat 'em. i know i'm getting a rematch now that i have sticky tires.

what was i talking about? oh yeah - not all honda drivers are stupid ricers. of course, the knowledgeable ones are looking for something better, which is why i'm here.
