Here in Cali you will always be held responisble for hitting someone behind, they will say that you should have enough distance between you and the car ahead of you to avoid an incident, good luck

Leave it to my under-average IQ.... I thought your friends GF was driving the WRX... NOW I see the comma. Still, I wouldn't pay anything, If you're gonna turn it in to insurance file a police report, it'll all go back on her.
*edit*
The pic answered all of my ?'s... love the super high-res too. :)

sorry for your supe. I would feel horrible too.
Plenty of times i could've rear-ended someone with my 86 300zxt. It’s big and heavy, no ABS and the brake pedal tends to get hard during a full boost emergency stop. The only choice was swerving.

G/L man.

When I was in Colorado my friend got a ticket because he slammed on the breaks for a deer and a couple of 17 year old kids in a truck rear ended him, they had even been drinking. Pissed me off to no end. The kicker was the driver of the truck was the police chief’s son. Guess there exempt from the law. Tried to get my friend to contest the ticket but he said he just wanted to pay it off and put it behind him. He said it probably wouldn't do any good because the judge is good friends with the police chief. Small towns SUCK!!!

Sorry MassSupra89, your story reminded me of what happened to my friend and it pissed me off all over again. Sorry for your loss man I hope you can get everything squared away.

Ok, sounds to me like the whole thing sucks. But looking at your car it does'nt look that bad. The beauty of this forum is the parts section. Let people know what you need and your prayers will be answered. If I were you I would park the Soup. Find a cheap ass car you can put liability insurance on and drive it(like a honda civic). In the mean time get the parts you need to fix your car. If you have questions on repairs, how things come apart, ask we will be happy to help. Have the parts repainted and before you know it your car is fixed and because you did it the Supra will be worth way more to you than it ever was. Keep your Supra you will hate yourself if you sell it. I know first hand I sold my first one and had to buy another. I must say you are handeling this thing well. If this had happened to me regardless if the chick were hot or not I would have killed her.
Good Luck

Haha sorry Dirgle I didn't mean to bring up buried anger, Yea it seems the whole town was against him on that

Yea the Cunt description and my "Ahhhhh fuck" reaction seems about right.

My friend picked up accident report papers this morning actually and I just got back from his house, we filled them out and pointed fingers at the girl every chance we got. The damage could be much worse, It looks to be only front bumper, grille inserts, and find out why my headlight isnt functioning right now. It's parked in my backyard just off the driveway and I've already got a reliable daily driver in the mean-time. I'll probably just take the insurance money, try to find the parts from people parting theirs out, and maybe keep some cash for new paint:icon_bigg You may be seeing some "how do i bend this back?" and "easiest way to remove crushed bumper?" threads soon
To add some more irony my friend was going to dyno his WRX this week too, but now his exhaust is pinched.

No offense to anybody but ... women drivers.

Haha yea, it may have been a coincidence(spelling?) but I just watched two women in SUV's go the wrong way down a 1-way exit and cut off a group of cars in the right lanes without even knowing it. :nono:

Cliff notes for those just joining--I was in an accident-Girl slammed on her brakes for no reason-friend of mine and myself had to slam on brakes-I rearended friend-I'm being held accountable if girl is not proved at fault

So I just got back from an appraiser at my insurance. $1,798.86. minus my $500 deductable I got a check for just shy of $1,300
Since the damage was over $1,000 I get a surcharge and my insurance is going up. I have to appeal that for $50 and with the many witnesses I have and the girl and her boyfriends changing stories I am very confident I'll win.
Anyone got Front bumper, grille inserts, header panel for sale? black preferably:1zhelp:

still learning
this sounds like a situation my friends were all in like 2 months ago. couple of us over a friends house getting ready to go to a party, my friend's girl decided shes gonna go pick up a friend first, but there is a car parked behind hers. the poor guy gives her the keys to move the car over. next thing we know shes calling my buddy saying she ran it into a tree... right in the drive way!!! how do you do that? i couldnt help but laugh cause it was so ridiculous. all she had to do was back up the car, turn the wheel and drive forward. i dont remember much after that cause we were pregaming for the party
