I got rear ended today.....

I just heard back from the shop doing the estimate.
Short version is, the car will be fixed. Yay for me, something finally went right for me this week.

Good to hear, but what's the story with the insurance company? Are they going to pay or is the other guys insurance going to pay? Curious about this because I'd like to get as much info from crashes involving Supras as I can to learn what to do when dealing with insurance and accidents in case something ever happens to mine.

Basically, since I was rear ended and the driver said it was his fault, his insurance company is picking up the tab for the repairs. My insurance company is completely out of the picture.

at least you're honest enough not to pull the "oh my neck and back hurts now" like millions of other people out there and get a few thousand dollars. and at least he was honest enough to admit fault which you're not supposed to. glad it turned out like this.

If he was rear ended, someone was following too close so no admission of fault is needed. The law is that the driver needs to be in control of his or her vehicle at all times.
